I was so focused on exiting college and starting a career that I didn't even pay attention to what was going on in the comic world in the '90's

Nope. My sincerest apologies, but she was in fact a willing participant in her involvement with Norman Osborn.

Legend did have some great material, but the biggest problem was the fact that not only did many of them have deadline problems, but unlike Image, the Legend guys did not set up a studio system. So at least image had books coming out, along with the two or three guys that could hit the monthly deadline at Image.

Byrne was the only one with a regular monthly book at Legend. Although the other two who did keep at it, Mignola and Miller, do leave a legacy and body of work as well with Hellboy and Sin City. I'm probably the only big Martha Wasington fan I know. The omnibus edition that just came out s terrific stuff.

^^^^ Something like that would be retconned into the new DCU.

i think Legend was also just an imprint under darkhorse to while image was an actual company (that was a startup from Malibu?) or would that be valiant? it has been almost 20 years, lol

On the positive side, all of the comics printed over the next ten years will eventually be worth... well, not much. Oh well, it could be worse. I am not sure how, but it could be worse.

rumour/speculation is that the new Scarlet Spider is actually Spider-Clone 3.0... Kaine.
