    Jsa #54

Well, it's over. My ultimate favorite team, gone from the New DCU.
I won't give any spoilers out, but I'm really, really saddened by this final issue in particular.

    Amy, you'll know why.

At least they got to end with a real pretty Darwyn Cooke cover, plus we got a guest appearance of the Challengers of the unknown in there.

But still... I hope DiDio rots & soon.

Hopefully rumours of the James Robinson written JSA series are true and they just give him all these characters and let him do what he wants with them.

But yeah, the death in this issue kind of sucks.

Oh come on, who did they kill now? Spoiler or not, we need to know.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

        Nevermind, I found it.

Outside of back issues and trades, DC is dead to me.

Considering what they've done with the character in recent years, "dead" may be a good thing. It's apparently obvious that DC just doesn't know what to do with the JSA anymore. They should have used the opportunity after Infinite Crisis to move them to Earth-2, instead of having that psuedo-JSA there.

Alan Scott. I hadn't really been following JSA anyways for the last few years. The Bill Willinghams era post Geoff Johns departure was hugely disappointing. Particularly since I'm a fan of Fables, Elementals, and Pantheon. Wasn't that into Paul Levitz arc either.

Probably best they put it to bed for a while at least unless they have a good team and premise in line for the relaunch.

Well, I just skipped to the end of this thread without reading the rest. Just from knowing Stan, I have a pretty good idea, but I don't want it confirmed until I go pick it up.

Death may be better than being Pot-Bellied Stove Man.

From what I've seen of the new DCnU, I think I may feel better if they just leave the JSA out all together.

I agree they should have just put them back on Earth 2.

Maybe someone could convince Roy Thomas and Robinsion to tag-team on a JSA book?

obiously I am saddened by this but as they have been messing around with his story (badly) for almost a decade maybe it's for the best. I'll just break out my pre crisis books and remember Alan at his best

he spoke a solemn oath that concludes..."and I shall shed my light over the dark evil for evil cannot stand the light, the light of the Green Lantern"

Which adds to the sense of DC just flailing about. They went through all the trouble of creating 52 earths and did nothing with them.

Arrrggh. Not going down that path again. Sorry.

Yesterday, I was listening to the latest CGS podcast I heard something about a James Robinson JSA book in the works.
                    Hey! Check out the pictures.

Yeah, I get the impression that nothing published outside of the Batman and GL titles will matter next month.

If its James Robinson, I hopes its Starman James and not JLA James.
