I'm not going to make a final judgment until I see Cavill in the suit on screen, but why oh WHY does EVERY designer in every field think you have to busy up everything? CLEAN people, clean.

They want the big "S" surrounded by bright blue, red, and yellow. Without it, he becomes...well...just another generic hero in a rubber outfit. In stripping away his iconic outfit, they are taking away a big part of his appeal. And so, from the public's perspective, he blends in with everyone else. Right now he looks like off spring from the X-men and Green Lantern. That's not Superman. And I bet it will reflect in the final box office tally.
