There's a whole different aesthetic that big budget films apply.... and it kinda makes me sad 'cos they monkey with stuff that you don't have to. Or SHOULDN'T have to. It always puts me in mind of a few years back: My buddy Rob was living in Japan and sent me pics from a couple of comic conventions; pics of folks.... AMATEURS.... who had made entirely authentic comic character costumes. So if they could do it, why not a big compnay?

Yeesh. Hopefully that's just an unflattering angle, and he won't always look emaciated in the film.

Having said that, if the attitude is there, then the look may play a secondary role. . .

Too many Chef's in Hollywood spoil the soup. The approval process waters down most good concepts.

I think it looks good. Consistent with Brian Bolland's style. Dredd is not bulky.
