Yep! I saw it in 3D the second time, just because that's the only way the theater was showing it. I felt the the 3D was more worthwhile than in Thor and GL.

I think I could honestly watch this movie once a week and never get tired of it.

I think I liked it more the second time around than the first and I liked it a lot the first time.

Love all the little nods to Iron Man and Thor. interesting how all of Skull's technology sounds just like Iron man's repulsers when in use, which also sounds a lot like the transport mechanism in with the Rainbow Bridge in Thor. That's a cool little cube.

Enjoyed how Cap's transformation was very similar to how Banner was gamma irradiated in Hulk TV show, which the last Hulk film also adopted.

One of the best things about the Cap movie is that after he's given the serum and blasted with vita rays, he's pretty much Cap the rest of the film. They were able to service his romance and secret I.D., while keeping him in action or planning for action for about 2/3s of the film. Other super-hero films would do well to consider such options in the future.

Loved how the film was shot much like a 1940s film would have been shot. Love Red Skull's little jab at the Indy movies.

Cap really was a fun movie. The best super hero film of a summer full of super hero films.

MIB41 and I are planning a second viewing of Captain America at some point in time. And yeah, we too noticed that the Red Skull's Cosmic Cube powered weapons sounded maybe a little tooooo much like Stark's repulsors. Are Marvel studios trying to imply that the entire technology of THEIR Marvel Universe is derived from Asgardian tech? One never knows....

I think a second trip would be excellent. I kinda miss Cap after last week. Time to pay him another visit.

I saw it a second time and that did occur to me but also the sounds those guns made were also like the gun Tommy Lee Jones used on the giant Cockroach in MIB 1. Near the end of Captain America he was using the gun so I thought it might be an in-joke for MIB.

Also I caught this line at the beginning when the Red Skull holds the Cosmic Cube in the box:

"So the Fuhrer digs for trinkets in the desert..."

I figured that was a direct reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark-and very cleverly done. Just like they had a Flying wing like in Raiders as well.

I was wondering if the Red Skulls Pogo-plane might be a not to something like how the FF had a Pogo plane in their early issues.

I caught that reference too. It was a nice nod to Raiders, not least because of Joe Johnston's work on that movie.

Probably meeting her granddaughter Sharon, who would likely be the spitting image of her grandmother, but blonde.
I think that would be the perfect ending to their relationship! It would probably make me cry too. Lol.

And they should definitely re-cast Hayley Atwell as Sharon Carter, since Peggy and Sharon look just like each othr anyway. Lol.

It could be a reference to Bucky being tied up on the covers of Cap's comic almost every issue:

(You see where I'm going with this right? )

Or it could be they're brainwashing him and he'll become Winter Soldier in a sequel.

Reasons for Cap's shield returning it to him:

                              1. "I always imagined when he threw it, he would give it a spin so it would always return to him." - Stan "The Man" Lee

                              2. The shield would bounce off of things (walls, people, etc) and would ricochet back to him.

                              Always believe "The Man". Always.

My wife and kids went to see the Smurfs, but I saw Cap again. So I did my part.

Same here! Saw it the first on my birthday (Aug 1st) and then again on the last day it would ever be on the big screen. I meant to go sooner, but time flies. Surprisingly, there were 8 people in the audience. I was shocked at that. More power to the Captain.

Loved "Star-Spangled Man", btw--a musical number is perfect for a period movie, & it ingeniously advanced the plot, too.

The only thing I missed was the Skulls ascot (with his jumpsuit, at the finale).
I thought it was just as good as the first time! I even managed to get more references and nods the second time! And Star-Spangled Man is awesome! Catchy, comical, and fun!
