I liked the trailer and I'm more then willing to give this Movie a chance. I'm also willing to watch the origin story again...what can I say? I LOVE Spidey!

I already like Andrew Garfield better than Toby. Toby was ok, I learned to tolerate him...but he didn't fit my image of Peter Parker.

Just curious. When reading the actual comics, did anyone out there ever imagine Gwen Stacy with a husky man-voice that registered on a lower scale than Pete's?

If you think Spidey will be a bomb...you are on crack...lol.

It's Spider-Man, folks...not some low-level...second-rate hero...this is Spider-Man we are talking about here...right up there in box office territory with the Batman franchise.

It will be a hit...a box office hit that will pass the $300+ million mark domestically...more than Iron Man...easy...

I just saw the Social Network again today...and you know what...this Andrew Garfield is a damn good actor...better than Tobey Maguire (who is decent, but kinda lightweight)...that's for sure.

I'm still having a little bit of an issue with the size of his head though...I have to get past that...

I'll see it. Though I'm not that familiar with any of the ultimate story lines.
                It's all good!

I think I'm out for this one unless my son wants to really see it.He has already asked to go to Cap and not even asked about spidey.
This trailer also looks like a video game to me???

Saw the promo tonight in the theatre when I went to see Cap....a lot of mumbling from the crown when they figured out what it was....I think it may be too soon. I'll watch it, but the crowd was not thrilled. I can easily see it getting overlooked when its up against Bats, and the Avengers. THere was a bigger cheer for the Avengers promo than there was for Cap.

I really think it's his hair that makes his head look so big.

Not surprising. While there was grumbling about the story in the third Spidey film, the franchise was still insanely popular. And actually most people don't realize the third film made more money worldwide than either the first or second films did. Rebooting the entire cast when all you needed was a new director is a huge mistake and Sony will see that all too soon. Sure, Spider-man as a license is popular. But when it comes to movies, people cheer a good cast and become connected to those interpretations. Leaving them behind before the crowds have grown tired will garner some kickback the studio is not expecting.

Agreed, TK. Audiences INVEST in the actors who play characters in movies and I think this rebooting of the Spider-Man franchise will blow up in Sony's face. 'Course, they learned it from the best; Marvel is CONSTANTLY reworking Spidey in the books in some way, shape or form....

I watched this in the theater in front of Cap. It played better there, and actually looked pretty good. I'm not crazy about the costume. Clearly changing it for change sake to differentiate it from Raimi's version. Why not just go with a classic cloth look? But the POV shots were neat in the trailer. My son was psyched, and he really likes the Raimi flicks. But he loves Spidey 3, so what does he know?
