    First new Spidey trailer...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyHHG3aio5I

Looks a lot more brooding and darker than the Raimi ones.

saw it intresting.but does not have the same impact at The Dark Knight Rises and Avengers teasers

I kinda miss Sam Raimi I think That John Malchovich would have been better as the villian The Vulture

The part where we see Spidey's POV climbing the buildings kinda reminds me of a video game.

I really was wondering the point of going back and visiting the origin again, but I guess it makes sense if they are going The Ultimate SpiderMan route with how his parents disappearance ties with his origin and overarching conspiracy. Lizard makes a perfectly fine substitution for Green Goblin or Doc Ock. They are staying completely within the themes of father figures and the struggles with coming to terms with adulthood at the heart of most of the classic Spiderman tropes from back in the day. Captain Steacy is very well cast as are Aunt May and Uncle Ben.

Okay. Having seen a cleaner version of it I've had a total change of heart regarding this film. Instead of thinking it's going to suck, now I think it's going to be an ELE for super-hero films.....

I wonder how people would react to this trailer if we didn't have the first 3 Spidey films to compare them too. I personally like what I see but I'm not a fan of the suit. But it won't stop me from seeing it.

Yeah, I agree--I started having flashbacks from the PS1 Spider-Man game. Which was actually very good for its time, BTW.

It actually looks good, but I wonder how the public will react to a total reboot so soon, especially of a successful franchise. Even though most of us dislike the 3rd movie, it still made Sony tons of money.

In a summer full of Dark Knight Rises and Avengers, a "rehash" Spider-Man movie may get lost.

I can't sit through another origin movie. Spider-Man 3 drudged it up already.

I agree wholeheartedly that the last thing we need is ANOTHER origin of Spider-Man movie---especially one that kinda poops on what has gone before even though it's been said by several SONY types that this is sort of a film version of "THE UNTOLD TALES OF SPIDER-MAN." I ain't buyin' and, in a summer heavy with Batmen and Avengers, I don't think the public will, either...

Spiderman is Spiderman.....and you can never go wrong with the web-slinger. there's a new generation of young kiddies who never saw the first one. there are people who were not satisfied with the Raimi films. Overall the series was good but I want to see what can be done new the CG in the first movie was not that great.

I was bothered by the fact that Gwen was not in the beginning. I want it done right I want the science nerdy kid with the webshooters. I can live with a slight change in the costume. I want a drop dead Gorgeous Mary Jane not plain jane Kirsten Dunst.

Spider-man can certainly be done the wrong way... And Sony looks like their striving to make that distinction again. The likeness is frightening...
