How about we just stop with the Batman (and Superman while we're at it) Movies all together and try some of the other 100's of DC Characters?
...and if I had to pick one...I know most peeps won't agree, but...

Adam West and Burt Ward, the public would come in droves for the spectacle.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Bale did a decent job in his first role as Batman. But I think sometimes change can be better. There is no questioning that Heath Ledger was an awesome Joker though.Comment

The last Batman movie made a BILLION dollars at the Box Office.
And I can't see Worthington as Batman.sigpicComment

Depending upon the success of the third one, it wouldn't surprise me if they poured a bunch of money to at least Bale to get a fourth, but this time they would go the route of introducing Robin or Batgirl and try to get a spin-off. That's my prediction. It's all good!Comment

Ian Somerhalder would be a decent Nightwing, but he'd need a couple of steroid cycles to play Batman. Could you really see him beating somebody up?
Fassbender is a good actor, but again, to me, he's not imposing enough to be Batman, although he does remind me a bit of Roy Scheider, whom Denny O'Neil said would have been his choice for Batman in the late 70s or early 80s.
I do like Eastwood as a Dark Night Returns Batman. Of course i thought that back in 1986 or 87 when there was a scene of him lifting weights in The Dead pool. But he's too old today to pull off the part, IMO. He would have to be CGIed. Maybe he could voice an animated adaption.
One thing I would really like in the reboot would be for Warners to actually use a version of batman's comic-book costume. I just hate the rubbery suits.
Batman Beyond was a well-done cartoon and too good not to like, but to me it always came off Bruce Tim getting his chance to do Spider-Man, albeit in a Batman-like costume.Last edited by madmarva; Jul 10, '11, 2:33 PM.Comment

i could even see Robin getting introduced in number 4 but with this batman the only logical story would be The Killing Joke which doesn't really lend itself to a Robin Spin off.

as far as picking this fantasy next batman being silly or fun - it IS silly but YES IT IS FUN. i love to pick fantasy casts - the reason i said this is silly is because you introduced it not as a fantasy or distant project but as a likely reality that you could cast a current batmanesque start to.Comment

I wasn't placing any time frame on when the re-boot might happen...simply asking people to play my casting game...no matter when they start shooting. If it turns out to be 3 years away, that's not to far away to be looking at actors. Said Actor would only be 3 years older. In some cases that might be an advantage, if the Actor is 22 now...25 is a good age for Bruce/Batman....especially if they want to make more movies, considering the gap between them.sigpicComment
