yes it does. And some will buy it.

        ^ From that:

A note: You notice Marvel is actually promoting my work for them? Avengers and the “Secret Project?” You’ll notice Dark Horse is promoting Blood? Well, for some reason, DC isn’t promoting “Batman Odyssey.”
The reason? Because it SUCKS...that's why!

From the Bleeding Cool article quoting Neal Adams:

The continuing series is just great! It’s exciting and dramatic with neanderthals, evolved dinosaurs, magicians, war, death, gnomes, trolls and tests, the like of which Batman, the modern Ulysses has never faced in his life… all happening in a real underworld.

The multiple climaxes are killer. But if you care…. Man, I hate to say this… you’ve got to hoc your stores like bloody hell to get these issues.

My promise to you is to give you the best, most exciting comic books ever. I’ve never failed you, and I never will. But this time, you’ve got to dig in and demand your stores get this. The best Batman series ever.

I feel sorry for him if he really thinks this is true. But, again, I don't think he is trying to put out a crap comic book.
          My Updated Want List:
          Comic book original art
1970s Hulk or Spider-man metal garbage can
          Custom Mego Nexus, Grendel

Have lots of comics and Marvel Legends figures for trades. Thanks!

I'm a huge Adams fanboy, but I'm unsure about this. Common sense tells me the first few issues are a whacked out dream sequence or a "coma theater" where a lot of his random thoughts are happening at once. This could all be during his near death experience he had at the hands of the Omega Beams. I'm telling myself that's the explanation.

Or, this could just be a bad acid trip from a talented but arrogant creator who should not, under any cirsumstance, have been hired to do anything.

I'm going to wait for the collected trade and continue to read the posts here. I really like the artwork I've seen so far, so at least he's still got some chops.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

I think Adam's is sincere with this, I really do. In all of his interviews he's very open and honest, even if his honesty is usually very self-gratifying. I think he's completely aware of how great he is, and so maybe that's blinding him on how bad THIS is. I don't think it's like Miller, who I'm convinced, really did pull a fast one on DC with DK2 and All-Star Bats.

I'd love to be able to like this, but I can't. Oddly enough, we could have gotten something like this 30 years earlier. In the late 70s, Adam was briefly on tap to put together all Batman stories through his Continuity Studios, but the deal fell through...

DC and Miller parted ways on Holy Terror Batman, which lost the Batman part.

This series just looks like a train wreck of a project; how DC let this one through, I'll never know. Adam's was great once, but that was a very long time ago. I find it quite sad at how he can't see the woods for the trees at how awful his Odyssey series really is.
