Ok, this new picture makes me feel a little relieved, because Superman doesn't look like Superboy(unlike the 1st picture that came out). Still not wild about the Armor on Supes costume(does he really need it?)...but I can live with it.
Ok, Here is the question, Why the hell does the strongest, most powerful hero in the DC Universe need body Armour? Batman, I can Understand, But supes? come on, have some common sense, people. And, whats up with Wonder Woman's Collar?, why does she need that? is it so guys can have something more to stare at then her ****? Cyborg is starting to look like a War machine rip off or an Iron Man rip off. Why does Flash need Armoured boots? lastly, Bats Does not need brass knuckles, his training makes up for it. (even if this was Dick bats same thing applies) Stupid changes. as well as with Hawkmans new look which I saw last night.
I agree that Supes wearing Armor makes no sense...but the rest of the changes aren't really drastic enough for me to not want to buy the books.
The Flash wearing Armoured boots does make sense, because of the speeds he runs at(he must be really hard on a pair of boots). I think Wonder Woman's collar is kinda sexy and would give me something to hold onto if you know what I mean.
The lack on trunks on Superman & Batman also doesn't bother me.
And Cyborg...I could care less what he looks like, because I never cared for the character anyway.
Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12 https://www.facebook.com/monsterpetsbooks?ref=hl
Aquaman, GL and Flash are all right. Cyborg is too big and chunky. I agree he kind of looks like War Machine from Iron Man.
Superman would be better with red shorts and a yellow belt. Better but still not great. Hate the Nehru collar look on him.
Batman needs shorts too. His armored looks is the only one that actually remotely makes sense for the character.
Wonder Woman's top looks more low cut than ever. But, hey, she's wearing pants and that's all that really matters to DC. Couldn't they have at least given her blue pants and red boots? Way to mess up an iconic design, DC.
All the designs scream 90s. Way too busy and trying too hard to be artificially hip and edgy. In other words, DC trying too hard to be Image. But I guess they are all tolerable except for Superman and Wonder Woman. They really are a mess.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
Why do they all have to share the same collar and belt lines? They're not the freakin' X-Men....They're the Justice League and are supposed to be DC's premiere team made up of it's TOP heroes...Not a bunch that needs to dress like a team...This is as bad as when the Avengers were all wearing leather jackets.

I have no interest in Jim Lee's JLA or any affection for any of his costume redesigns.
It still amazes me that if one of the stated goals of the re-launch/boot was to modernize the the DCU, then why pick a guy so entrenched in the 90's to do it?
Peter Max wasn't available?

Yeah, I totally don't get that.
Those designs might have been "modern" maybe 15 years ago. It's like all the "edgy" and "extreme" 90s X-Men and Image designs being shoehorned into DC. I guess he at least he restrained himself on the 90's pouches and jackets.
