    THOR with SPOILERS Thread

This thread is all spoilers. Don't read any posts here until you see the film, capice`?

    SPOILERS!!!!!

So the man with the bow & arrow-Hawkeye? What about the black SHIELD Agent THOR said, "You're a big one." ? Possibly setting us up for Power Man? Could he be someone else? Anyone catch the reference to Bruce Banner? Who stayed past the credits? What was in the briefcase? The Cosmic Cube? Will The Avengers film lead into an adaption of Avengers #1 as Brue suggested or The Surtur Saga now that we've seen the Casket of Ancient Winters?

I need to wiki the cosmic cube. When I sat through the end I was as confused as the non comic readers (like muggles but different). I'm usually pretty up on this stuff but Marvel outside of X-Men and Spider-Man isn't something I know a lot about.

I did catch the Bruce Banner reference. That was pretty cool. So was Hawkeye. As soon as he grabbed the bow instead of the gun, I was on the edge my seat.

It's the Cosmic Cube that the Red Skull will have possession of during WW2.

I'm kind of guessing that it will be how Captain America ends up in contemporary times.

Jeremy "Hurt Locker" Renner was Hawkeye.

What did folks think of the Captain America Trailer? Hugo Weaving pulling off the mask was pretty cool.

The other scientist Skarsgard was going to email was Henry Pym in the script but the dialogue was changed while shooting, according to an interview with Kevin Feige.

I was thinking Power Man, too, or possibly a precursor to Giant Man II, but Power Man seems more likely for the "Big one."

If there's a Thor sequel, I'd like to see a throwdown between Norse and Greek gods. Thor vs. Hercules would be pretty cool.

The Avengers film could pull bits from Avengers # 1 (Loki), #3 (Hulk-Thor fight) #4 (recovery of Captain America). There was also rumors of Kree-Skrull War being part of the plot.

Is Skarsgard also in Green Lantern this summer too?

I also felt the humor and the jokes were very good and did not demean the character. The laffs were in the right places and appropriate for the parts of the story they appeared in such as Thor being sedated, being hit by the truck multiple times, and explaining to SHIELD he was Don Blake and his temper was due to Roid Rage.

I wish the Fantastic Four was under Paramount now instead of FOX. They could tie them into an epic story too.

Yeah, Dude that would be a spoiler for Captain America and since it hasn't opened yet you just gave it away.

I was thinking Avengers 1 priamrily because of Loki as the bad guy with a quick synopsis of the next few comics to give us Cap. I'm thinking they skip the Sub Mariner other than a nod, cameo, mention etc. The Cosmic Cube seems inevitable.

It didn't occur to me that the big black guy was a potential hero. a hero to hire seems likely though.

I wouldn't call it a spoiler. They're already shown that Pic of the Red Skull holding the Cosmic Cube. Which also made think that's how they're going to bring Cap to the future...instead of the frozen Iceberg.

Stellan Skarsgard plays Dr. Selvig in Thor and the Avengers.

Peter Sarsgaard plays Hector Hammond in Green Lantern.

I referred to Sarsgaard as Skarsgard in a post about the Green Lantern trailer by mistake earlier this week.

I bet your right. I believe I read somewhere that Fox has the film rights to Sub Mariner as part of the Fantastic Four rights and a long-in-development film. But I may be mistaken about that.

With Iron Man and Thor, Marvel's done a great job of condensing and mixing and matching years of continuity to make these films. It's really fun to pick out all the touchstones.

Man, Brannagh really did a nice job directing the movie, but Marvel really did a great job developing the script. Getting the actual comic creators involved as consultants during the scripting and development has really made a difference in the Iroman movies and Thor.

I'm guessing Geoff Johns is doing a similar job with GL film and the Flash film that supposed to be in development as DC's chief creative officer. Hope it pays similar dividends for those films.

So you didn't see the captain America trailer when you went to see Thor?

It seemed obvious to me since each marvel movie ends with a teaser into the next one... Particularly since they were talking wormholes in that context.

The cosmic cubes the skull's schtick, so it's about as much a spoiler as thor's hammer at the end of iron man 2.
