I also saw it Tuesday, when reels were being tested. Saw it a second time tonight just to look for more easter eggs... BTW tonight neilsen had people there with questionaires. Oh and I liked the Iron Man movies VERY much, but Thor was better in my opinion it had something for everyone, and pleased all!Last edited by bizzaro megomauler; May 7, '11, 3:57 AM.Comment

great flick. I really enjoyed it and thought it really captured the essence of the character. i would give it 4/5 stars
unfortunately for me, they stopped the movie just as the end sequence after the credits was comnig on.....Doh! went right to the annoying drive in adds for mosquito coils and bick lightersComment

I thought it was good, nice effects... a little corny in some bits, but overall pretty enjoyable.Comment

Good movie. Very funny in places and impressive in it's approach to certain concepts like the rainbow bridge. A very creative and original piece. Surprisingly a movie for all audiences. Really no comic background needed to fully enjoy the scope of the story.Comment

Went in not really caring for Thor or Kenneth Branagh all that much. Very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Despite having a powerless hero for the majority of the film, it was never dull nor did it overload you as many summer films are wont to.
My only quibble is springing for the Imax experience, the 3D isn't worth it and my kid had his hands over his ears the whole time. See it but just see the 2D, it's a good movie and doesn't need gimmicks.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Given that most of us were Lukewarm about the 3-D, was this supposed to be 3-D in the first place while they were shooting or did they add that after the fact in post?
I was struck by the lack of immersion in 3-D stuff that should have been much more "Avatar"... like the journey through the rainbow bridge and the battle on the Frost Giants' planet.Comment

if it was purposeful, someone dropped the ball.
my favorite 3D to date is the footage in Superman Returns. The action scene with the shuttle was worht the price of admission even if the rest of it stunk. and they had the right idea about 3D : use it with limits. most of the movie was 2D with prompts to put glasses on when in 3DLast edited by Brue; May 9, '11, 3:19 PM.Comment

Great family shots Brue! Who says you can only wear costumes on Halloween!
My friend and I (who know nothing about Thor) thought the film was much better than we expected. Best comic based movie since Iron Man I, hands down. Loki's character was really good and emotional, as well as Hopkins performance. Had some good humur when Thor was first sent to Earth. I loved the cocky, arrogant, kick#$%, beer drinking Thor. I wasn't very impressed with his Asguardian friends and love story mushy stuff. Didn't know much about Loki, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. When I left the theatre there was some talk about these topics:
-How cool it was when he swung his hammer.
-How awsome it would be to have a Hulk battle
-Who I'd rather sit down and have a beer with Thor or WolverineComment
