It's funny that art is supposed to be his old school costume; yet, those boots look futuristic, as translated by that artist. Looks cool. -
I'm listening to a radio show talking about how Superman is the new symbol for the NWO.Leave a comment:

Finally had a chance to read the story.
Let me tell you where I sit before I tell you where I stand. I am a very happy American Exceptionalist. I believe that the United States became great because the ideals that it's founders held are great. Did they, and by extension do contemporary Americans hold to those ideals at all times. No. However, and I hate to be cliche, I would rather aim high and miss ... you can finish the line. I am also a culturalist. I believe that cultures can and should be weighed and measured against each other. I believe that it's the responsibility of individuals to examine their culture and strive to improve it. And, yes, I believe that some cultures are better then others.
Where I stand.
I think this is much to do about nothing. The incident occurs in a throw away story in the back of an over-sized anniversary issue. And, Goyer's logic is flawed. Superman can make as many UN speeches as he wants. Foreign governments, terrorist organizations, and the world at large will always see him as being a citizen/representative of the United States. This decision will change nothing. The story has more to do with Goyer telling us where he stands then any long lasting editorial edict.
I'm done.Leave a comment:

Same here when you say Superman I think of them and Kirk Alyn....always thought Superman was a global hero.Leave a comment:

That and over 70 years of Superman history.
Is he also going to leave Metropolis - he shouldn't want to be connected to only one city ( an American city ) if he doesn't want to be connected to only one country.
Maybe he should leave Lois too so he can belong to all women.Leave a comment:

When I think of Superman I only think of George Reeves and Christopher Reeve versions.
Even though I love Supes, I couldn't care less about how he's portrayed in comics.
This talk reminds me of when they killed one of the Robins years ago.
I didn't care about that either
