    Marvel Merchandise in Disney Stores

I don't get to the local (1 hr away) Disney Store often but I saw that Marvel merchandise is finaly showing up...Stuff like the Marvel Select figures of Spidey, Thor, Iron Man, Cap and Wolverine (like $19.50 or so?)

I picked up a sah-weeeet beach towel with old-school 70s art of Hulk, Cap, IM and Thor for $16.50.

Someone told me there's still one in Birmingham. Not sure if it's true.

It just sounds wrong to me. Hulk and Mickey do not go together.

Disney World can't actually carry the stuff. Universal has the theme park rights east of the Mississippi (so I guess Disneyland can carry it). Till Disney backs up a truck load of money to them.

We actually have two Disney stores within driving distance of us, Lexington and Florence KY. We may be swinging by Florence today. I'll have to check it out.

I was wondering about that. I wonder when Universal's rights expire? That would mean shutting down a whole "Island of Adventure" ....

For the fact that I live so close, I rarely get to the Hershey outlets. I didn't even realize they still had a Disney store. We used to have one at the mall, but it closed ages ago.

Its all flat cut outs of characters there, so repurposing it to DC or something would be easy for them. I bet they already have a plan in place.
