Frank Frazetta did the 1978 Galactica Posters:

      The Premire

War of the Gods w/Count Iblis

      Lost Planet of the Gods

      And a Clint Eastwood film:

Didn't know that Frazetta did the Gauntlet poster. A friend of mine back in Junior High had that poster.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
        The beauty that surrounds them
        Isn't it a pity".

        - "Isn't It A Pity"
        By George Harrison

Mike mignola did a teaser poster for the hellboy movie. Somebody did a bunch of art for the matrix (though I suppose a lot of artists have done that kind of work). Alex Ross do any movie posters?

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

            Kurtzman and Elder:

Kind of an ugly poster - especially considering the talent involved. I wonder if this was a rush job, or low pay, or what.

Yeah - the unbelievably talented Geof Darrow is who you're thinking about for "The Matrix". He was credited "conceptual designer" for all 3 of those movies and "Speed Racer".

I believe there's more cross-over artists in comics and movies for concept art type jobs then poster art. Off the top of my head: Jim Steranko worked on "Raiders of the Lost Ark", Moebius on "Alien" and "Tron", Paul Chadwick has a lot of film credits...

I know the Alex Ross "Madman" cover was used to make a movie-style poster. I think they also used this image as kind of an in-joke in a low-budget indie movie Allred did years ago, but I could be wrong about that.

Wish Galactica looked more like the Frazetta posters.

Yep. The prototypical Frazetta girl look is really evident in that last one, huh?

Frazetta actually made Sandra Locke look curvy in that "Gauntlet" poster too.

Steranko did design/concept work for Bram Stoker's Dracula as well. Neal Adams contributed to Batman Forever, and did most of the licensing art for that one as well.

Yeah, the original was done by Tom Jung. Cardy added the droids and did some minor touchup work on the main figures, according to this article:

After that, there was a poster with the artwork done by the Hildebrandt brothers, but that version was for retail sale, which is why I bet more people remember that one the most... it was hanging on the wall of their bedroom where they could stare at it.
