I enjoyed the movie itself, but if you rent the movie be sure to listen to the commentary with Bruce Timm and Grant Morrisson. Fantastic discussion between two men have done a lot of cool Superman stories in the recent past.

I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see the classic Silver Age Superman back on the screen. Morrison did a good job with all of the gonzo trappings of the Wesinger era, and the late Dwayne McDuffie (I can't believe I had to write that) did a great job distilling it all into a 70 minute film.

I got the dvd/blue combo pack. It came with a little figure of Superman dressed all in white with a funny looking symbol on his chest.
I noticed there is no short on this set. Is that true across the board? Was there no short. Not that I care, I really really enjoyed the movie (as much as I want to HATE Morrison, I can't here).
I haven't watched any of the special features yet. I was going to today but somebody was hogging the blue ray...

I like Morrison when he's not allowed to monkey in actual continuity. He actually restrained himself with All-Star Supes, given he probably had free reign. I think he was trying to do his verison of Alan Moore's version, honestly.

None of the version I saw had a short. I don't think there is one on any version. But then, I didn't know about the white Superman either. Best Buy exclusive again?

Man, I wish DC would give the keys to the Superman franchise to Morrison.

Why you trying to start a fight?

One of my favorite times in the DCU was a few years ago when we had all these minis spin out of Morrison ideas. The first Freedom Fighters mini. That crazy Metal Men 12 issue mini. I think the new Atom (RIP) might have been a Morrison idea, too.

Just knowing it's based on Morrison & Quitley's All-Star Comic is enough to keep me away.

The only short that has been announced is a Catwoman short being attached to the Batman Year One DVD coming out in the Fall. I think they are blaming poor sales on the Superman/Shazam DVD. Which is bunk since the shorts had just been released prior to the compilation dvd. Not as many people wanted to spend $15 or so for only 1 new 22 minute short. I swear I didn't see any difference in the "extended versions" of the other shorts.

This Frick'en Cartoon was Horrible. The Worse 1 since That lame Batman 1.
Seriously here ...., I lost complete interest half way threw, and fought myself to keep watching. I felt as if I shoulda Smoked some Dope , and then I woulda thought it was Brilliant. It's Superman Meets Artzy Fartzy . I did attack the Flick as an Elsewords Tale, however even that didn't help.

I'd rather Watch Superman 3 and Smallville at the same time.

They should go for it. I'd save so Much Cash Every Month Along with the Zero Batman Titles I buy.
