Wow, I had no idea Superboy was so hated. I kind of like him. Although the "Superboy SMASH" version on Young Justice was getting old. Glad they dialed it back.
Tonight's episode was pretty good. An interesting twist at the end. Desaad was more in character than I thought he'd be considering how pretty-boy he looked.
a soon as he put on the Glasses I didn't know who he was.... I can't help snickering every time he says I'm the blur......should make it into a drinking game....
I am going to miss this show a lot when it is over...Me and the family have watched it from the beginning...and now maybe no suit??? I really thought we would get a few episodes with it. No movie deal enrages me...I mean why not ,,why why why. I seen some of the new cast for the up coming movie not thrilled about it. Give us the smallville cast for the love of God. Ok I am done ranting...lol
Well, I'm a big Smallville fan, and stuck with it through most of it's run (I bailed early last season after the abysmal ending to season 8, but came back half-way through 9), but I can see why WB didn't go with the Smallville cast for a movie. I've said it elsewhere, but most TV shows-to theatrical films don't go over well. Partially due to the thinking if you can watch it for free, why would you pay to see it?
Plus, Smallville's audience, while devoted, is small compared to the numbers needed to get the Superman film franchise off the ground. Folks who hadn't watched the series would probably feel like they were missing too much to bother going to the theater and being lost for 2 hours.
And by all accounts Tom Welling didn't want to make a Superman movie. Even if he does put on the suit in the final episode, he's more than likely going to be able to escape the typecasting curse now that Cavill is signed to play Superman.
Now that we are nearing the end, I get why we never had the possibility of "the suit" until now.
It might have been obvious to some of you all along, but I am just now getting that the point of this show, all along, was a telling of how "Smallville" becomes Superman (without being "Superboy").
Yeah, tonight's episode was a lot of fun. A nice break from the doom and gloom plots that have been a neccessity this season. Loved the nods to Bruce and Diana. And Erica Durance in skimpy outfits, what's not to like? Drag Arrow was a kick too.
Kind of wondering if this is the last we'll see of Chloe. I know Justin Hartley is still going to stick around, although maybe they front-loaded his appearances more this season, so he can take a break and go off with Chloe. They have to resolve the Omega symbol thingee.
