What is your favourite Bernie Wrightson work?

It's obvious that I'm a huge Wrightson fan, but is it sacrilege for me to say that in my own preferences, the definitive Swamp Thing is Bissette and Totleben?


Not that Wein/Wrightson's stuff isn't terrific as well, but by the time I went back and discovered their Swamp Thing (after Moore's), I couldn't help but think about that obvious zipper on the back of the rubber suit.




Bissette and Totleben's did not look remotely human.

Wrightson rules!
Love his Frankenstein. I have fond memories of first seeing his Creepshow comic as a teenager and having my mind blown.
I used to have an Epic magazine, that I've since misplaced, that had a nice gory E.C. style revenge story that Wrightson drew, something to do with a body in a bathtub being dismembered. I wish I knew where that comic went to!
