I am not surprised... Bane is the "Modern-Day success/Venom"
of the Bat-verse and Nolan is caving in the third just like Raimi did.
I doubt it. Bane's "heat" died down a lot after Batman and Robin. I'd say Warners left Nolan the hell alone and let him craft his own Bat-story, after DK made like 800 million or something.
I really try and reserve judgment on these things AND I have a lot of respect for Nolan... BUT casting Hathaway does have the faint scent of hollywood focusing on selling rather than storytelling. Hopefully that is not the case.
BTW, I don't think Hathaway is as sexy as Selina should be.
I've loved everything Nolan has done so far, so I'm pretty sure the last movie will kick *** as well, but I would've prefered seeing villains that hadn't been done before. With Catwoman involved I just hope we don't get another love story. And Bane has been done not that long ago, so I was hoping for someone like The Ventriloquist, Killer Croc or the Mad Hatter for instance

I bet romance between Catwoman and Batman is in the cards. Bruce Wayne has been slowly disappearing as Batman becomes the dominant personality (if you're not in the camp that Batman IS the ONLY personality), and with the death of Rachel, his one tether to a normal life, and with Batman now branded a murderer, Bruce may turn to a love interest tailor-made for Batman...Catwoman.
DK also showed us the physical toil Bruce has put his body through as Batman. Bane may indeed "break the bat". It would be a heck of an uplifting ending to see Batman come back from such a physical defeat, and return as a hero to Gotham.
I think Anne Hathaway can pull it off...she sorta reminds me of the Tim Sale version of Selina Kyle....Of course she has some big boots and a catsuit to fill out to make me forget Julie Newmar

Well, I'm pleased about Anne Hathaway being cast as Catwoman. Bane...that's an odd choice for Nolan...I really didn't see that coming. However...I've learned to trust Chris Nolan...so I'm sure he will find a logical way to make it work.
I love Bane. Not the previous Bane from the movies...that was an abomination. I'm betting he's going to be cool. The guy playing him played evil Picard in Star Trek Nemesis. He was pretty good in that even though that movie wasn't very good.

800 million can mean nothing in that regard.... Raimi was ultimately
persuadeable after making a lot of money for the studios,
and many times studios work in is vague specifics regarding said "heat"...
what's a decade or so....

Hardy was fantastic in that. I wasn't nuts about the movie though - maybe if I knew more about Charlie Bronson going into it I would have gotten more out of it.
The movie IMO had far too many "arty" moments, it's needless window dressing when the actor and the subject matter are so interesting.

Anne Hathaway is a fine actress and is a great choice for Catwoman. I'm sure there will be a romance in the movie between Selina And Bruce. I'm not too sure about including Bane. I'm tired of the makers of comic book based movies cramming as many new characters and villians into the plot as they can. I'm thinking of Spider-Man 3 and Iron Man 2. I found the Iron Man sequel less offensive on this scale though. Nolan has proven he knows what he's doing
so I'm not as worried with "overcrowding" ruining the next Batman movie.

Hathaway is a good choice for Catwoman.
Yeah if done like comics,Bane shouldn't be that bad. People forget he was able to figure out Bruce was Batman pretty fast in the comics. He's got brains and brawn.
