New Spiderman movie suit

looks pretty lame to me. I thought they had done a great job with the suit in the Maguire movies

EXACTLY. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I kinda dig it...looks less cumbersome than Toby Maguire's version.

Having said that...the guy's head is still too bloody big...even with that new haircut...

It's natural to move away from the Raimi's Spidey flicks...and that starts with the costume...I'm glad it's different.

That's what reboot is all about.

I hope that huge head of his becomes less distracting on the actual film.

Having said that...his body is leaner (and longer torso) than Maguire's...that body is perfect for Spider-Man...

I'll have to wait to see it in motion with the mask on before I pass any final judgement.

But at least the weblines are darker than the Raimi movies. Those white weblines always kinda bugged me on Maguire's suit... they should have been black.

Is there any word on whether his webs will be organic again in the reboot, or will they be good old fashioned web cartidges & shooters?

I bet they go with the cartridges......one of the small minor things that bugged me from the Raimi movies is that you never really get a sense of how nerdy and a pure genius Parker is.

The comics sold the Parker geek incredibly gifted future scientist.....
If you add cartridges now you'd get a sense of limitations in the character and allows Parker to use his wits and brain to get out of tough situations.....

Well, Spider-Man 2 at least referenced his genius pretty well. "Brilliant but lazy".

But I never liked the organic web-shooters. Took away the drama of him running out of web-fluid too!

not a fan of the Maquire suit but this isn't much of an improvement.
It looks like latex to me (kind of like Matt Salingers Cap suit in the 1990 film). to date the closest suit to what it was in the comic is Nicholas Hammonds or the one worn by Spidey on the Electric company...and that is just a shame

That's not bad to be honest, so there are changes but not too drastic. Garfield's looking more like Peter Parker/Spider-Man than Maguire ever did.

If the costume moves away from the Riami version it moves away from the Traditional Spider-Man design. This looks a little more like the Alex Ross redesign. And does it have to be made up of all those dumb tiny rectangle tiles? This is not the space-shuttle heat tile surface here.
