I love both, but I favor the 40's they had more of a comic feel to them and some of the 70's were no more than a crime drama with Wonder Woman tossed in just so they could call it Wonder Woman.
The 70's version for me too.
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone else remember the Wonder Woman episode where the alien guy Andros comes to warn Earth of their pending destruction? I don't know if it was a 40's or 70's episode, but it was a rip off of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" minus the robot Gort. I still enjoyed the episode though.
but that goober guy on top of her kills the whole thingComment

40s for sure. I think they just did a better overall job on the show then. The new version had some cool WW costumes and the WW costume was better but the 40s episodes were so much better.
The 40s Alien was Andros and the 70s alien was his son. The 70s alien show was just not as good, which is pretty much the difference from 40s and 70s WW episodes.Comment

Not to mention how badly dated the 70's episodes were or how ridiculous Steve was Steve's son or that he never saw a picture of Diana with his dad. The stories were poory done rip offs of Bionic Woman.
I liked the 40's outfit better.
The 40's were well done period pieces that were straight off the comic book pages.
Even though the wonder girl episodes were far from the comics and a little corny - IT WAS DEBRA WINGER!
btw
The swimsuit was used in the 40s as wellLast edited by Brue; May 22, '07, 9:46 PM.Comment

The current movie script that is getting attention from Warner Bros. is set in the 40's!! Yayyy! You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I too have to go with the Nazi era WW. It was a little darker and not quite so campy. I know I've seen all the episodes of all 3 seasons but the first season episodes stick out in my mind. I can barely remember anything about the modern era episodes. Other than Wonder Woman spinning around and suddenly being in a diver's outfit. I thought how lame is that and that's what killed the series for me. Also the one thing missing from the entire series itself was the lack of any villains from the comics. You would think the Cheetah at least would have been included in an episode or two.Comment
