    What's with the tarnished shield? It's supposed to be INDESTRUCTIBLE.

    I hold out hope this will be good. I've seen early photos from films that turned out to be good, so I'm hoping.

        Its just begining for all of us to soak up but really not digging the suit.But once its all said and done it should be great!

          No one claimed the paint was just the shield maybe the Skull attacked Cap with a blowtorch

            Perhaps the one that Tony Stark is building in Iron Man 1 & 2 is the indestructible version.

                Other than Secret Wars, where it was cracked, the comic shield was never defaced at all to my knowledge. I thought all the colors, etc were made into the shield during the lost process that created it.

                  I remember, back in the 80's, Captain America was shown touching up the paint on his shield at least once.

                  The shield is indestrucable, not the paint job.
