I'm really enjoying Morrison's Batman run! It's been a "top of the pile" book for a good long time.

Originally, I didn't mind Dick filling in for BATMAN while he was tumbling through time. But I always thought he'd go back to being Nightwing. I like Dick as Nightwing.

I tried Dick as Batman...didn't like it...Of course I'm sure Damian in the equation is part of the problem...And the fact that I'm getting tired of Morrison's high concept stuff

Agreed...Damian is a big part of the problem...and Morrison.

I predicted whn this all started that when Bruce came back both he and Dick would both be batman. That does not bother me so much. What bothers me is they are keeping Damien around and I cannot stand him. I also do not like the Red Robin costume. Love the Drake character just do not like the new costume.
The Bruce and Dick Batmen actually makes sense since there have been "rumours"in the Bat universe that Batman is actually several people for a long time

ps - I am dropping all of the Bat titles as soon as the return of story line is ended. I have had enough of the confusing and fractured story lines

I love my Golden age Batman trades and 70' and 80's back issues......I'll stick to those....

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned how this also contin ues to kind of parallel Captain America... Bruce and Steve lost in time, brought back to head up SHIELD/Batman Inc, sidekicks get to keep the mantle, Heroic Age/Brightest Day etc.

Haven't bought a regular continuity Batman title since the Earthquake event, what, 15 years ago? I'll pass on this as well.

It's Morrison continuing to play with the former Batmen of All Nations/International Club of Heroes that he's revived a few times over the past decade. The Knight and Squire are getting their own miniseries as part of Batman Inc.



If we're using the fast food metaphor, in the past year, Jason Todd was trying to set up The Red Hood as the Burger King to Batman Inc's McDonalds.

I thought when Batman wanted to "go global" he either did it with the JLA or when he REALLY wanted to micro-manage it he formed The Outsiders

I think Morrison set out to legitimize the 50s and early 60s version of Batman. He's going at it so hard he's expanding on ideas that the writers of the day intended to be one-shot deals, with maybe a handful of sequels.

That era of Batman is, for the most part, considered the weakest of his 70+ year history. It's not without it's merits, but I think Morrison is out to prove that he can work with any concept. Point proven, Grant, now please move on.
