Kamandi is one of DC's best titles ever. Although the world has ended and animals rule, it still looks like a fun place to be?!
Kirby at his best for sure. Looking forward to the DCU figure!

I've recently started to appreciate Kirby's later stuff like Kamandi, the Fourth World titles, and The Eternals.

I can appreciate the criticisms aimed at all of the above, especially when compared to Kirby's earlier work, but I finally feel like I am at a point where I "get it" and appreciate it.

AND by "appreciate" I mean I am collecting and reading it. It's all new to me and I love it.

I've even gone as far as researching some of Mark Evanier's musings on his time with Kirby (as his assistant during this time frame) and they are very interesting and shed a lot of light on things.
