True Blood's Joe Manganiello being considered as the new Superman

He currently plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux in HBO's True Blood...sorry for the "Playgirl" picture...but it's for Superman suit spandex purposes...lol...

His nose seems a bit big...but at least he's not a Chris Reeve clone...if he gets the part...look for a more rugged Supes...

DC Comics may consider Joe Manganiello for 'Superman'

    Thoughts?

    he's got the Kryptonian nose.

I like this idea. The dude is big and has the physicality needed for the Superman I'd like to see.

Shave his face, give him some blue contact lens and a spit curl and he would look good as Superman in my opinion.

Not sure I'd like him as Superman. I liked Roth but maybe he'll do a great job and I'll change my mind.

I think that he would make a great Hercules, he has that Steve Reeves look about him

Yes, but I feel a bit sorry for Brandon Routh--he def. wasn't the biggest problem in "Superman Returns."

                        I agree.

However...I think it's time to get away from the Chris Reeve look...and unfortunately...Brandon Routh had that look.

Why in the Heck, would you want to get away from the Chris Reeve look? He was the PERFECT Superman!

                          BTW...Tom Welling has "that look".

I was watching G4's coverage of SDCC and they had an interview with Joe. Mostly it was about True Blood, but they asked him about the rumors of him being considered for Supes and he seemed comfortable with it (like this had been on his mind and he wanted it).
