I also think The Green Lantern Corps Book had Better Arcs the last 2 times.
The Cyborg Superman Arc, as well as the Weaponer of Qward Arc were Awesome. Fantastic Story Telling ... and the Sinestro Fist Fight with Rayner .... And Rayner's Punch to Sinestro ... Telling Him " Batman Taught me to Fight" Was a Pure Geek Reading Moment of Awesomeness.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

J,
Yeah, I've actually enjoyed the other two GL books more than Hal's this year until the last couple of issues. I like the Krona stuff. The GL books are the best things DC has going.
With the Red Lanterns getting a book later this year, I guessing Guy's going to end up a Red Lantern. There's also a figure of a Red Lantern Guy coming. But other than that I have no clue or speculation where the GL War is going to go, but I'm looking forward to finding out.Comment

BBTS's Pre-order for the Guy Gardner Red Lantern figure sold out in Like Minutes. ... It's obviously a popular Idea.
His Interaction with Bleeze is well written in Emerald Warriors.
It's very Entertaining to say the Least.

I'm only reading the main Green Lantern book now...I got burned out after Blackest Night with all of the cross-overs and such and I'm trying to slim back what I read...Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

The Aquaman parts of Brightest Day were good, but the rest mediocre. Firestorm in particular was poor, as was the Martian Manhunter. Seemed like the whole thing has been dragged out endlessly and should have been only a maybe 12 issue series. At least they didn't break it out into 6 full miniaseries for each character!
I agree on seeing J'onn as the x-files type series. In his original appearances he rarely changed into his Martian form, utilizing the detective persona more. That would be way better than the multiple-identies crap they saddled him with and the sci-fi angle, A creepier '50s B-movie style would be cool.
I hear that Adventure Comics will become a new Showcase style book to feature the Brightest Day survivors. Aquaman of course was an AC star before.
They've annonced The Flash is cancelled as of #12 pending Flashpoint changes. Yet another mid-series Flash reboot ala' DiDio's lack of vision. Bring back one of DC's ICON heroes, then saddle him with a confusing time-travel storyline and a mediocre artist. Wow, sad.Comment

Doesn't surprise me...the book/direction has sucked from the get-go. And yes I blame MUCH of my disinterest on the artist...wrong choice for a "Flash" artist, especially since Ethan Van Sciver came up with a new distinct style than Manapul hasn't been able to ape.Think OUTSIDE the Box! Then DC is restarting it with a new number one, hopefully with a good writer next time. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

FlashPoint is taking the place of the Flash book following issue 12. There may be a new Flash(es) book after FlashPoint or the series might pick up with No. 13. DC has yet to decide.
The latest issue of Superman has the best use of Flash and his powers since the bronze age in my opinion. It did utilize Mike Baron's idea of a Flash having to eat often to replenish his metabolism, but it had a great homage to Showcase No. 4. It shows just how powerful the Flash is. Not sure if it was JMS or Roberson's idea on how to use Flash, guessing JMS since he was the plotter. Maybe DC should let him do an Earth One Flash GN.
Admittedly I'm not a great Flash fan. I've always enjoyed the character more in groups than as a solo hero —both Barry and Wally. Johns' best use of Flash, to me, has been in Blackest Night and as a guest in GL.Last edited by madmarva; Mar 20, '11, 4:30 PM.Comment
