I wonder if this means Warner Bros now owns Thundercats. All the other shows mentioned in the press release are all WB owned Properties. I'm intrigued by a MAD animated show... does this mean Spy Vs Spy, Don Martin, Sergio Aragones come to life?

What's worst though... having Snarf as a comedy relief or having them sex up Wily Kit and Kat in the Wildstorm comic series?

Masters of the Universe managed to make some sense of Orko at least.

No word in toys, comics and cartoons fills me with more dread than "reimagining." I really hate that word.

This also worries me "characters Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Panthro, Cheetara and others will spring off the screen with realistic cat-like characteristics inconceivable in previous incarnations." Just great, gotta get that coveted "furries" demographic I guess.

I loved Thundercats as a kid and have a big collection of the classic toys. I still hope the new show will be respectful of the original series and don't take the "reimagining" too far. I can't imagine it could be worse than the threatened rock band Thundercats or the sleazy Wildstorm series. But there's always that chance, I suppose.

Also, I guess we can forget getting a MOTUC style Thundercats action figures based off of the original designs now.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That is my belief as well. I suspect it will be closer to the 2000 heman line or the next gen speed racer

Not if Warner does own the Cats.

I think WB has owned the rights to ThunderCats for quite some time now....

WB has owned Thundercats for some time. The long standing rumor on Thundercats toys is Bandai has the license and have no interest in the classic cartoon. They are only doing figures from the new one.
