Like the idea of Dick getting the chance to be Batman, but I think of him as a placeholder, too.

I say that Flash should be anybody who can run fast. Meaning, start a new Flash book, but don't make it JUST Barry. If you wanna do a Jay story, do a Jay story. If you wanna do a Wally story, do a Wally Story. Wanna do a story about Johnny and Jesse Quick?, Do a story about Johnny and Jesse Quick!

I think it'd be doable, I'd hate to see a "Flash Corps" book where you have all of the other guys, and then one book dedicated to the one they deem 'worthy' because in the case of the Flash especially, I disagree with the one they have chosen.

Wally earned his place, and is THE Flash. He's got more experience than any other bearer of the name, and has appeared in far more single issues than most of them combined.

I'm a huge Wally West fan. He's earned the Flash name. I think it was a huge leap backwards to bring Barry back.

However, I like your idea for a Flash book. If they must have multiple Flashes, then just do random Flash stories with different characters. I'd buy that.

Back on topic. I hope Dick goes back to being Nightwing at the end. I love the Nightwing character. Dick Grayson has been my favorite character since I was like 4 years old. Of course, if they do kill him, it's not like they'll keep him dead. If they can bring back stupid Jason Todd, then anything is possible.

I can't say I'm surprised that so many are down on Damian. Although think of it this way... he's like Guy Gardner in the Justice League or Emma Frost in the the X-Men or Hawkeye in the earliest Avengers. He's a character that brings conflict and comedy to the table within a group dynamic, and for that I'm finding him wonderfully entertaining.

He's kicked off some really interesting storylines as well, even when he's not onscreen. Particularly with Talia and Ras Al Ghul. I really enjoyed the Tim Drake Red Robin arc... particularly where it was revealed that it was all a test to see if he's worthy of joining Ras' cause. Ras really plays for the long con as an immortal and how he chooses his potential heirs within Batman's various children in a most Darwinian fashion.

Damian and Tim obviously have some fantastic character arcs ahead of them as they battle nature and nurture as the legacies of both Ras and Batman try to claim them both.

I cannot stand Damien and have said for a long time they need to kill him off. I don't like the look of Red Robin. I think both Bruce and Dick will be Batman. each will have a differnet take and look for the character. Tim will likely stay RR but I think he should become the new nightwing and come up with a completely new costume, maybe merging various aspects of the different costumes Dick wore. Jason is a villain now so he does not even really fit into the new lineup.

I like Stephanie as Batgirl but I mean come on already, the fans want Barbara back and will not really ever accept anyone else long term as Batgirl.

PS - DC already toyed with killing off Dick Grayson and realized it would be a very bad move as he is an integral and central character with ties to the entire DCU

I really liked the look of Barbara as Batgirl (love the red heads) and enjoyed the Batgirl and Robin teamups in the old Batman Family comic, but Oracle is a better concept than Batgirl.

Birds of Prey is a cool book, but I'd have Barbara leading the JLA with Dick as her No. 2, particularly since Bruce, Superman and Wonder Woman aren't going to be in the book. She could call together just the right talent to take on the mission with Dick, arguably the best team leader in the DCU, calling the shots in the field.

The only real thing that's bugged me about Dick filling in for Bruce is that Dick is shorter and more compactly built than Bruce. Even in the costume, I don't know how people who had been near both of them wouldn't know something was up.

Bruce is 6-2 and probably 20 or 30 pounds heavier; Dick's like 5-10. There's a lot of difference there. Other than that. I've enjoyed the Dick as Batman storyline a lot more than I thought I would.

And I love Damian, as the character you love to hate. He's the Family Guy's Stewie of the Bat'vese. Yeah, he's a little creep, but I think it's cool to see how a young very capable kid tries to emulate his father, whom he has placed on a pedestal.

I can see an issue coming once Bruce returns that will turn out sort of like the old episode of M*A*S*H* where Hawkeye went nutso on Radar for his hero worship.

What does Damian do when Bruce disapproves or when his image of Bruce is tarnished.

If I were going to kill Dick off, I'd have Damian do it or try. Maybe have Dick have a trist with Talia and Damian find out about it. That would prompt a knife int he back.
