Hawk kinda went "insane" after watching the future Monarch kill Dove right in front of him. He then kiiled his future self and assumed the Monarch persona. This turned out later to be false anyways though since she is alive and well. Later it turned out that she gave birth to the Hector Hall Dr Fate.

This all sounds like a bad soap opera when you say it out loud. lol

"I don't think that Osiris is that great of a character but obviously DC thinks so and has some sort of plans for the guy."

I have a feeling that Osiris's resurrection will lead to the return of the Marvel family. Aren't Black Adam and Isis still statuesand Billy and Mary powerless?

I've always felt that DC did know what they wanted to accomplish with Owen....hero or villain. Now that's not a problem...I think it's fitting that Captain BOOMERANG has returned from the dead.

    So, what ... Now there's 2 Zooms ?
If you read Blackest Night Flash ..., Zoom was Locked up ala from the pages of Flash Rebirth,.. + there was a Black Lantern 1.
Yeah that's sorta confusing....does Rebirth take place BEFORE Blackest Night?
And maybe the Black Lantern Zoom was just the body, kinda like Deadman was in two places at once.

That Shazam! Dude shouldn't be back either..., he was severed from his Ring as well..., and went back into nothingness.

I think they've gone to the well too many times in recent memory in regards to Earth-2 Superman....I hope they leave him alone for quite some time. It was a nice BIG surprise when he showed up in Infinite Crisis but since then they've dragged him out of the mothballs a little too much IMO.

^ It seems as though with one fell swoop Johns is washing away some of the baggage these resurrected characters had prior to their comebacks. Like making Hawkgirl Shiera Hall again, Aquaman with both hands and sans beard, Captain Boomerang looks trimmer and fitter than he has in years, Ronnie Raymond is part of the Firestorm matrix again....

Usually Johns is good at keeping the crap piled on a character and making it work but some of these guys have been so mistreated by DC the last few years it sort of makes sense to use a "Jedi mind trick" like a White Lantern revival and just put the characters back to the way most people want to see them interpreted.

Hey! Isn't that essentially how the original Crisis started?

I hope they bring back Earth-2 Superman. He's my all time favorite and Alex Luthor of Earth-3 said in Infinite Crisis that Superman is connected to the universe (or something like that). He's the role model that all the heroes should follow. Even when he killed the Anti-Molitor He told himself that he would never take a life but had no choice. NOW that's a real hero to me. Always remembered that!

I couldn't stand waiting until the weekend so I bought it tonight after work. I expected more resurrections. I wonder if more will show up later.

Can't wait for that 3 Some Book with Rayner, Natu & Jade.

Aquaman, Hawk & Ronnie Back atlast !!!

    Hate the Pants on ManHunter.

And MAX being back ..., goes against the WW book .., and really doesn't make sense.... That Shazam! Dude shouldn't be back either..., he was severed from his Ring as well..., and went back into nothingness.

I could be wrong but I think that's all the resurrections.

The story very specifically says the ones that came back both prior to Blackest Night and at the end of the mini came back because they chose to or wanted to.

Evidently, if the dead are at peace they can opt to stay dead, which explains why there isn't a blanket resurrection.

At the end of the issue, Hal says he has a feeling that the dead means dead now.

Obviously, DC will bring back whomever it wants when it feels it has a worthy story to tell with them, but I'm guessing this will be it just from the feel of the story.

Of course there is a JLI book coming out. Maybe they go to the afterlife to search for Ted, but somehow I doubt it.

I'm stoked by all of this. Birds of Prey with Ed Benes artwork? I'm in.

Booster Gold and Cap Atom together again in a new book? I'm in.

A completely new GL title? Oh yeah, I'm down for that.

DC is seriously making their way back after a couple of rough years.

It's all looking like 2010 will be a banner year for the DCU.

I totally overlooked Ice with the White Ring heroes, had to go back & look again. Ice was brought back in an issue of Birds of Prey (that crossed over with Secret Six). They glossed over her resurrection and what happened there- although she's a part of this JLI revival, so maybe more to come there. They also never explained why the Black Rings couldn't bring back Don Hall Dove or why the Dove had the white light power from the start.

Glad to see that Luthor played a relatively small part in the ring business (and was totally overshadowed by LarFleeze1), but I would have liked to see more of the scarecrow & the yellow ring.
