Thats what DCU Wikapedia or whatever says..., it was never really coved ,... in any of the books that I am Aware of, until infact she showed up as a BlackLantern.

I am confused on How Max Lord can show up..., I gotta re-read Blackest Night WW # 1 ..., But I coulda sworn WW Killed him again as a Black Lantern, and Severed His connection with the Ring..., which imo would Make the character Lost, and Not Obtainable to come Back.

I thought Hawk would come back from the start of this...
It's interesting How He and Dove can even co-exsist, considering He Killed the Female Hawk as a Black Lantern right infront of Her...., Or how Ronny and Jason can even Co-exsist, because Ronny Killed Jason's Girlfriend, while Jason was trapped inside of him.

Deadman being tied into the Lanterns doesn't thrill me much, would rather see him in his original form.

I'm saying there is more yet to come. There are more than a couple high-profile characters not shown: Earth-2 Superman, The Dibnys, Ice, Katma Tui, Doctor Light...I'm guessing that the now human Deadman will be involved tracking these folk down.

Not sure about the priest collar, but it was good to see Aquaman & Mera together.

Martian Manhunter looking like his Silver age self.
    WITH PANTS!

He was in costume so I would assume so.

BTW, the book ended with a White Lantern Power Battery. Probably a connection with Boston Brand wearing a White Lantern ring. Boston Brand! Didn't see that coming.

It's also probably safe to assume that we didn't see all of the returned/revived/resurrected characters. Probably just the characters that Johns has the most interest in dealing with. Black Hand puked up a bunch of White Lantern rings. No telling where they all went off to.

BN was a really good event. There's a couple of things I didn't like about it. I wish John's hadn't given us a new layer of cosmic with the introduction of these ring avatar creature things. I suppose they give an explaination to Parralax & Ion. But, DC has spent a lot of time stripping away layers of cosmic it doesn't make sence to add something new. I also didn't like all the time spent on cleaning up relationship baggage (Kyle/Jenny, Kyle/Jade, Guy/Ice and on and on and on.) There was so much of it that when something interesting like Hal/Parralax/Spectre was finally given some time, I had to force myself to read it.
The best part of BN was the art. This event will catapault Ivan Reis to superstar status. He turned in quality pages and was able to keep the event fairly close to schedule. If you look at other events that ran at the same time (Flash & Captain America) both stories had long delays with clear examples of the artist mailing in panels. Every panel that Reis draw was quality.

DC seems to be of the mindset that Ted Kord serves story purposes better off dead than alive. And it also seems like they really want to push the Jaime Reyes version, whether anyone likes him or not.....

Apparently he was the only one revived with a White Lantern ring on (or so I'm told)....More to come I'd guess

Glad they found a way to bring them back, but no Ted Kord? Could care less about Firestorm.

Some real surprises on that list. So, are the Hawks essentially Golden Age versions (with his tweakings), or did Johns somehow bring back the Silver Age Thanagarians?

So Deadman is Boston Brand, no powers, not dead?

started a topic Blackest Night #8 SPOILERS

    Blackest Night #8 SPOILERS

    OK....you asked......

    The newly-brought-back-to-life:

    - Maxwell Lord
    - Professor Zoom
    - Jade
    - Hawk (toldja)
    - Captain Boomerang (Digger, not Owen)
    - Ronnie Raymond (who will more than likely bond with Jason Rausch as Firestorm)
    - J'Onn J'Onzz the Martian Manhunter (take THAT Final Crisis!)
    - Aquaman
    - Hawkman & Hawkgirl (HG is Shiera Hall with all memories, not Kendra)
    - Deadman (in the FLESH!)
    - Osiris

The Anti-Monitor is also brought back to "life" (and then he's banished to Qward) as is Black Hand (and he's apparently a slave of the Indigo Tribe)

Hopefully some GOOD stuff comes out of all of this. I for one am stoked about the return of Aquaman, J'Onn and Ronnie. And it seems Johns has once again had to tweak the Hawks to get them to where they should be....hopefully no one (talking to YOU Jim Starlin) mucks it up this time 'round.
Working...
