The film looked great, but with the exception of Dalton & Arkin I just didn't like how the actors approached their rolls. It's the same problem that I had with Sky Captain. Modern actors approaching characters from a specific period using their modern sensibilities. They come off as emotionally distant and trying way to hard to be "cool".
I think I would have made the actors watch a couple hours of old movie serial fight scenes before the days shooting began.
