Anyone here self publish a comic?

I know of Arts work on Tiny Titans, and Al's AtomMan looks cool, just wondering how many others have taken a shot at creating their own comics.

    Here's mine:

I got 3 issues done before my son was born, and I need to get back and finish the final issue (been 4 years now!)

Great stuff, but yeah, it's a long tuff road when your trying to do this kind of work in your spare time. The story for Shadow Wolf is a 4 issue arc, so I feel I have come too far not to finish it. We actually printed and sold 100 copies of each issue locally and got positive feedback, even had a letters page in issue 2.

Good luck on your project Anarchy!

This is something I'm moderately interested in. Care to share some of the details about the process of self publishing?

Was part of Shooting Star Comics. Great bunch of guys. We met through Chuck Dixon's website. Lots of talented guys there, and we made a good run at it for several years, but changes in distribution forced our hand to cancel our main title, an anthology we all worked on. We tried to make a go of it with minis and specials, but in the end it just was financially feasible to keep it going. I made some great friends, and we put out some work I'm quite proud of, so no regrets.

I have lots of ideas I'd like to get published one day. I'm enjoying doing my own thing and working with the Cast-A-Way guys now.

Not exactly what you might call an "indie" book, but my company produced this promo comic for the Calgary Stampede a couple years back, and are working on another one for the 100th anniversary in 2012.

you should look into Indyplanet.com they print on demand comics. I've gotten quite a few from them and its all quality work.

I gotta whole story written .
Most is already on paper ..., the rest is still in plot mode.
I gotta about 10 Main characters for the Book ...
I can only really Draw Pin-Up style covers though ..., for the most part..., I never really got backgrounds that much .

1 day it will be done ... Sci-Fi meets Super Hero's meet the end of Day's type of Nonsense.

It's awesome to see everyones work. I can understand getting burnt out on trying to get into the comics biz, it's a tough nut to crack. I still feel my own book has come to far to give up on, and may try the print on demand route or publishing as a web comic.

There's enough talented people here, we should do a Mego Museum anthology comic.

As for me,I'm no business man at all ...I'm just a creator in his basement drawing comics
for his own pleasure but I'd love to see my work published but I don't want to have to become involved with the logistic of it.
Yes,there is talented people around here and at least getting in touch with each others could help by exchanging new ideas and maybe even some collaboration.
I already worked with CATERSON DAMON on one comic book:(Wrathdamon)
