Even though the creator of the male Cheetah might have been gay, he was still drawing for what is considered the predominately heterosexual male comic audience. The male Cheetah's sexual characteristics, his genitals, were removed. But the female Cheetahs sexual characteristics, her double d breasts, were left intact to bounce wild and free as she ran around in the buff.

Now going back to the figure you posted which started this thread. Let's be totally honest here, nothing were-creature or monsterous about her. You remove the painted on top and shorts and you are left with a beautiful, busty naked woman with a bad case of freckles. She really should be clothed

There's absolutely nothing wrong with sexy and there's nothing wrong with a little pandoring. But it can be taken to extremes and you end up with the hyper-sexualized charactures of women and then it stops being fun and sexy and becomes sexist.

Maybe a little, as far as I can see, but not enough, I think, to be
    too concerned about it.
Just because you may or may not see it or don't think it's a problem doesn't mean it's not there.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Now THERE'S a riddle for the ages
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Kinda. There’s a lot of.... er.... tough to get into without pushing the “PG” boundaries.... ANATOMY that’s left out. First off, no nipples. Kind of a minor point, but one that still needs to be considered. Also, there’s some bits we SHOULD see but don’t. (Considering the large number of action poses in the average superhero comic.) In most superhero comics it’s glossed over. (To that end, huge boobs are usually NOT articulated. They sit on the body and maintain the same silhouette regardless of the character’s pose or action.)

When you think on it; the MALE character is drawn under the exact same guidelines. He’s definitely a hyper-idealized figure, with primary sexual characteristics removed and secondaries glossed over. (Males are never shown with nipples either, and usually don’t have body hair.) I think the process is more noticeable on the female characters ‘cos superhero fans are mostly guys and we notice stuff like boobs. There’s also more of a tradition within society to be aware of the stylization/exploitation of females than males. (Hence no cries of outrage against Conan. Not for unrealistic body imaging, anyhoo.)

Adding to the mix is the idea that most superhero characters are essentially nekkid. Costumes are drawn as if they were sprayed on. (Are those folds, or vacillation?) So Cheetah naked isn’t drawn differently from Cheetah clothed. Same goes for male Cheetah; although for male characters it comes across a lot more awkward.

Woman in comics are hypersexualized for the male audience. I just don't see the need to be dishonest about it. Conan is not drawn in arched back painfully obvious provacative poses. Male characters are idealized versions of the readers fantasy selves and the women are drawn as their hypersexualized fantasies. I don't even say or think that's bad thing. I'm just honest about it. I do think the pandoring can be taken a little bit to far at times. For example I like that Wonder Woman is beautiful and sexy but even I have to roll my eyes a bit at times how the female characters are so obviously posed just for cheesecake effect. Sometimes the pandoring is really a bit overdone.

I guess this is just one of those agree to disagree type of things.

MY simple rule for this; Female Cheetah=no. Even if we're talking were-creature, hot women should remain naked. Male Cheetah=yes. Dudes need to remain covered at all times.
Of all the souls I have encountered his was the most...human.

Why does this thread remind of promo before movies where the studio demands pants be put on the hedgehog?
