I'd still rather reboot it further back, give the Challs a comic again and unkill the Doom Patrol.
If they rebooted back to before the Crisis, you'd have all the multiple Earths, etc. And then you could go and cherry pick the parts of the post-Crisis, post-Zero Hour, post-IC, post-whatever universe that you like and add it to the old/new multiverse. Like the Doom Patrol surviving for instance. Or you could say the big cosmic event that caused the reboot redid it. But that way you'd have all the characters in their prime, up and running.

And to solve the JSA being tied to Earth Two, here's a simple solution: Why can't Earth 2's time be out of sync with ours? If it's 2010 here, it's essentially 1970 there or something. That way the JSA is older, but not decrepit.

I think over time, it's become obvious that Crisis, by and large, was a mistake. The series itself is still a fantastic read, and well-done by Wolfman, Perez and company, but the reasoning behind it was really not that valid. I think DC could have gotten a serious shot in the arm with some strong marketing, and some overhaul on their creative and editorial teams without throwing the multiverse out with the bath water.

I have always disliked DC comics with the exception of a handfull of characters. The Marvel universe only got screwed up because of greedy corporate types and their Ultimates and Heroes reborn crapola. They used to poke fun at DC for all of the Infinate earths and the like, then did the same thing. As soon as they replaced the "A" on Cap's head the whole Marvel Universe went to pot.....

enough with the reboots already. just gloss over the continuity issues, forget about em, move on and try not to make the same mistakes. all these reboots and crisis are really getting annoying.

That's exactly the way I feel about Marvel.

I would replace Superman with Captain Marvel in the JSA and retcon all the Fawcett stories into DC's Golden Age. This would allow for a new kid to carry the mantle of SHAZAM. And, as a nod to the 70's live action show, old man William Batson would act as mentor to the new kid.
            Hey! Check out the pictures.

It seems the Multiverse is a big issue.

I think a single universe but told in different "lines" and not crossing over. Why not make Elseworlds of them?
The cris wouldnt have happened if characters didnt cross over .
