The thread stated we should keep an open mind right? So why not?

If we do play the game that there can be "colourblind" multi-ethnic casting, then I would imagine Tyler James Williams of Everybody Hates Chris is about the right age now to pull off Peter Parker. If we stick Ray Park in the suit for all the action stuff, that pretty much covers it in the fantasy casting.

Alternatively, have you guys seen Ong Bak 1 or 2? Tony Jaa can MOVE! Stick him in the costume for the action scenes.

That kid looks like a very young Will Smith...we don't need anymore Will Smith's...

...and Tony Jaa would never accept being just a stuntman...he's too big in Asia for that.

Gordon-Levitt was the ONLY thing I liked about G.I. Blow...the dude is an awesome actor...he's great in everything...Brick, The Lookout, 500 Days of Summer, etc.

He's right for Peter Parker...he's slight of built yet athletic, he can pull off the geek factor but be tough at the same time (see Brick)...what can I say...I'm a big fan.

The only thing is that he's also being talked about as the Joker as well.

I don't want him to play both roles...he's either the Joker or Spidey...not both.
