Frank-en-Castle is So a Gimic Character that I don't see lasting a real Damn Long time ...., Marvel Kinda Stole from themselves, It's Almost Deathlok ripped off imo .
What About the Great Idea to Strip Wolverine of His Adamantium ,.. thus Propeling His Body to that of More of an Animal, because of How Old he was..., but then no one Knew how Old He was. ... & Dig the Stupid Mask too ? ... I completely walked away from X-Men when I saw this,.. for a Long time. ..
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
Alternate limited Covers...sorry but that's so wrong there should always be an equal amount of covers......and all those old chrome, gold, black.white covers....I hated all that garbage.
I think it's safe to say that FrankenCastle will go the way of Black Like Me Punisher and Female-Punisher and Heaven's Avenger Punisher. Although given the love of monsters, I think it might be more fondly remembered... on par with Marvel Zombies as a fad (or Cap Wolf, as dumb as it is, you often do see it refered to with cheesy affection).
I thought I dreamt Black Punisher but it really happened, wow. This was the reason I got all turned off on Marvel, very gimmicky and if a character became popular, you would get flooded with him. In the eighties it felt like they were simply the "Punisher/Wolverine Comic Company".
I didn't care for either character.

Although for all the dozens of gimmick covers littering the landscape today left over from the nineties, there are a handful that stand out as quite wonderful amidst the refuse.
