I'm glad Starro is being used better here than in Batman Beyond.
I kind of liked that story there, but having Superman "possessed" by Starro for years seemed a bit much. Timm agreed they shouldn't have went that far, and in an interview said he wished they'd just cut that line about "it's been on him for years".
Sounds like B&B is setting him up as a major, almost-Galactus-like menace.
I'm wondering now if they won't use the Starro plot to do a Justice League of America episode/finale, especially since they've shown the team in the sidekicks ep? A nod to the JLA origin in B&B #28?
And you know who I'm surprised hasn't shown up yet?
I don't really expect to see multiples of the same exact character in this cartoon. The Gold and Silver Hawks were pretty much the same visually. Besides as current continuity goes, the Thanagarian and GA Hawks were all rolled into one explaination.

I think that the writers of this show have realized what DC Comics themselves don't quite get - that people can figure out the difference between the two Flashes, Hawkmen, GLs, etc. with just a little bit of explanation ("There was a Flash during the war, he got older, and then a second younger Flash took up the name. Occasionally they team-up.") It's not hard really. They have no problem so far jumping Batman through time without explanation (Enemy Ace, Kamandi) or bringing in more obscure heroes like Detective Chimp or B'wana Beast. I could see a Hawkman episode set in space, no problem. Granted they are pretty close visually, but they could be done with some changes to the helmet & belt and a one line explanation similar to the Jay Flash comment I made above. And I don't think current DC continuity matters to the writers of the show, quite the opposite it appears that the Silver Age versions get the nod in most cases (exceptions being modern age created characters like The Outsiders & Bronze Tiger...Metamorpho notwithstanding, but it seems like the real Silver Age influence hit toward the end of Season One).
They've already shown two Blue Beetles without issue...plus the whole Green Lantern corps...and Hal Green Lantern in the Despero episode & both he and Barry Flash just showed up in cameo in the last episode.
Oh, and watching the sidekick episode again, I noticed that Fire was in that JLA grouping at the beginning as well. Missed her last time..the grouping consisted of Batman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Fire, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Wonder Woman, Superman, Flash, & Green Lantern.
Looks like this week will bring Firestorm to the show...then next week maybe Superman or Mon-El? My DVR lists the episode as Batman on Planet X meeting a super counterpart to battle mad genius Rhotul (LUTHOR anagram?).
I've also read that we can expect Phantom Stranger, The Spectre, Viking Prince, Haunted Tank, Vixen, & Wonder Woman to appear this season as well.
Loved all of the lame-o Bat-villains in the pool hall! I've made customs of many of 'em
Bolt's poke-a-dot Dude was there too !
So was Catman .
FireStorm's character made me think..., with Jason and Ronnie both combined in the show..., and in Blackest Night right now..., perhaps that is the Direction DC Will go in the Books ?
Stoner Batman was Kinda Entertaining..

I haven't seen a single new episode! Keep showing Season 1 repeats up here!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrr..... My boys really want to see the Sidekicks episode and Firestorm. I want to see the JSA!
Can you or anyone ID all of these guys? I've slo-moed the recent episode & consulted my Batman encyclopedia, but I'm stumped on a few...
But who are:
the black/orange guy with the extra eyes
The Ten-Eyed Man
the blue/white zodiac guy
The Zodiac Master
I'd have to watch it again for the others because I can't remember everyone who was there. I do remember seeing Planet Master though and he wasn't on your list.
