With the JSA episode, I've offically decided this is my favorite Batman cartoon ever, if not my favorite DC cartoon (surpassing JLU for me). With JLu I loved to see all the cameos of DCU heroes, and they did do Warlord, Shining Knight, & Vigilante...but B&B has just the best SilverAgey appearances. C'mon...Detective Chimp? They just gotta do Rex the Wonder Dog next!
Plus Challengers of the Unknown a couple episodes back, now JSA (disappointed they left out Alan Scott, but I'm assuming they wanted to avoid Green Lantern confusion?).
And Metal Men yet to come this season...now if they could get Sea Devils & Doom Patrol in there!
I'm hoping they do JSA figures now as well..not real thrilled with the design of the toys with the weird arm thing, but I'll buy a Jay Garrick or Doctor Mid-Nite. I've seen Gold & Iron Metal Men already out there, still gotta get a Dick Sprang Joker.

Just watched the Aqua-Family episode tonight, somehow I missed it last week but my DVR caught it for me.

          ENEMY FREAKIN' ACE!

Man, the writers on this show are clearly just having a ball. They've realized that they can do ANYTHING in that first two minutes. Including Batman opening fire with machine guns on the enemy. But I think it's cool that Batman just shows up in WW1 with a Bat Bi-plane and a rep as Dark Knight of the Air, no explanations given...and none really needed either -it just is, it's a cartoon!

As far as the Aqua-Family, I was impressed that they dressed little Arthur up in his Dad's camo outfit, nice in-joke there. Mera was portrayed nicely, the little team-up logo titles were cool, Dick Sprangish Penguin (cartoony but in a deadly not buffoonish way). and aquaman is just such a fun guy...I hope whoever is involved in reviving him at DC Comics goes this route. The angry brooding undersea characters are overused...this boisterous fella with the oversized physique is really just a lot of fun to watch! And I liked the "road-trip" map with all the DC Universe cities on it...including Smallville, Civic City, New Carthage,Ivy Town. ...loved the Atom vs. Bug-Eyed Bandit cameo on the windshield too! And Hal Jordan GL too. My only complaint with the episode would be that once again, they used Blue Beetle. He's on here too much!

Using the classic 40's Batmobile in the Joker episode (Dont touch that!!!) put me over the top on this show. Robin wearing his Earth Two/Neal Adams uniform...Catwoman looking like Catwoman for a change...its all good!!

My son and I hoped the JSA would have stayed young too, but still glad to FINALLY see the real JSA on TV, and called as such! JLU had a mixed bag of old and new JSA characters, but no team. The Justice Guild was cool, but no JSA.

I missed Alan too, but he would have been too powerful for the plot. With his ring, the story would have been over too quickly. Plus as others mentioned, the GL confusion.

I'm not a huge fan of Jaime/Beetle, but they've done a pretty good job of fleshing him out on here. It seems that the core repeat characters are Green Arrow, Aquaman and Beetle. Maybe they throw more Beetle episodes out partially because of Will (Batman Beyond) Friedle doing the voice? He's been a long time collaborator on the DC animated shows.

Dc is/was really pushing the new Blue Beetle for awhile, might have something to do with it?

I wonder if the GA Green Lantern, or the Silver Age Flash exist in B&B continuity? We always see the Golden Age Flash and Silver Age GL?? Hawkman appears to be the one and only from the GA as well. I kind of like this strategy, if its what they are doing?

I think they keep pushing Beetle for the younger fans.

^And a broader range of ethnic characters.

I miss Ted Kord, too. But does DC have any decent interesting armored/tech heroes? And no, Rocket Red is not interesting.

My daughter loves the Bule Beetle. I defiantly think he is thrown in for the kids.

I suspect the versions of characters like GL and Flash are driven more by james tucker thant by DC. I suspect they have enough GL confusion amkong kid viewers with Hal and Guy already. Much as I dilike the Jaime Reyes Beetle he seems to fill in the classic 50's robin role - ie get caught by trying too hard so bats has to bail him out)
