Not sure what you've linked there as I can't see youtube at work but the first ones that came to my mind when I saw your thread title were the first Marvel cartoons that were basically cut-outs from comic book panels with not much of any animation at all. Very crude.

What's the matter with the Hot Wheels cartoon?

But even after seeing some of the more cringe worthy choices on your list, Naruto still sucks.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I like a couple of these shows even today, the majority is trash but that's kids programming

Yeah. Maybe Naruto don't seem so bad now, eh?
Nope, still hate it. I like some Japanese stuff but they make diarrhea too.

I have to agree. Naruto is the big stinkbomb of Japanese anime.

I prefer Dragonball (the original series).

At least Goldie Gold and Action Jack were better looking than those dopey kids on Goober and the Ghost Chasers, which was a rip off of Scooby Doo.

You forgot to include 'The Funky Phantom' on the list.

              >the first Marvel cartoons

Crude animation, but still had something of a story. There's stuff on that list that'll make you gouge your own eyes out.

              >What's the matter with the Hot Wheels cartoon?

It's one of them recyclers; wherein the story is pretty much the same every episode and the footage is as stock as the cars.

              HAW! I made a funny!

              >I like a couple of these shows even today,

I gotta admit; there are a few in that bunch that I LIKE; but they certainly aren't GOOD. (And there are some not on the list, like "Bailey's Comets" that are so weird it counters the cruddiness.) It's always been a quest of mine to find the overall worst cartoon ever made. Dunno why; it just seems important. (Maybe I should find someone to test them on, so as to isolate the most truly odious of the bunch....) Sometimes you find stuff like the original Transformers: shows that had an absolutely indestructible core idea that couldn't be tarnished, no matter how horrific the actual show was. (And the original Transformers is pretty horrific.)

....and it's always been my dream to make a library of "ghost Pirate" episodes of EVERY Scooby-Doo ripoff.

Is there really a giant squid attacking them in the Alps during the first episode? I heard a good story from a guy who worked on it and don't remember enough to verify it.

I can't remember that one but that was the kind of stuff that did happen. For a kids cartoon it kind of threw a lot of concepts out there in a way that wasn't like other tv shows. Even the strong female lead doing non "girly" things was kind of out there for the time.

A lot of the show's writers were comic vets like Steve Gerber and Mark Evanier, probably why I liked the show so much.

I loved Goldie Gold and Jana of the Jungle as a kid. I haven't seen them in ages.

I love that "The Land of Oz" cartoon, maybe it's cause I watched a billion times as a kid but I find it funny.

                              Dick Tracy
I've heard rumour and seen pictures of a decent Filmation Dick Tracy show but I can only ever find that steaming turd with the racist stereotypes like the Irish dog and (ugh) the asian cop.
