Me too. Was just one of those cartoons you couldn't stop watching for some reason. Brain-rotting theme song as well. Can never forget it. LOL

Crude animation, but still had something of a story.
That's becasue they LITERALLY stole them right out of the comic books.

Yes, it's rolling around in my head as I write this "all the streets are paved with gold...."

      I always liked Rusty's voice.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

              >I can't remember that one but that was the kind of stuff that did happen.

The story I’d heard was that one of the crew used to fall asleep during their plotting meetings. One day he woke up in the middle of one, yelling “GIANT SQUID!”

“Er....but they’re skiing. In the Alps....” Not wanting to admit he’d been sleeping, he pushed the idea, it got accepted, and for no apparent reason a giant squid comes bursting thru the snow at the 15 minute mark....

              >Captain Planet

Holee Smokes! How’d I forget that one?!?!

              >I've heard rumour and seen pictures of a decent Filmation Dick Tracy show

Is that the one from “Archie’s TV Funnies?”

              >That's becasue they LITERALLY stole them right out of the comic books.

Like I said with The Transformers; some ideas are invulnerable to cheap animation and bad writing.

              >Here are some turkeys

Hee heee.... a bunch of those were on my original list; but they kinda got overshadowed by worst stuff. (‘Course, some of those are shows I enjoy very much. But yeah; I’d never call ‘em good. Or proficient. Or passable....)

                  >what's the excuse for NARUTO's (or pokemon)?

The first season of Pokemon was pretty good; but they cutseyed it up as it went on. Naruto is okay, but it sticks WAY too closely to the standard formula, so if you've seen Dragonball you've seen Naruto.

                  "Trollkins" has NO excuse....

If you're my daughter, I'd rather watch Coronation Street and I don't like that either. I know you dig anime but the best episode of "Pokemon" vs "CB Bears" is like choosing the least smelliest fart to me.

                        2) You've just bashed my entire childhood watching Saturday morning cartoons

Next you'll tell me you have no love for the rockin' sounds and detective skills of "The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan".

At least Goldie Gold and Action Jack were better looking than those dopey kids on Goober and the Ghost Chasers, which was a rip off of Scooby Doo.
