Comics you've never read, but would like to

The Danger:Diabolik thread got me thinkin'.... there are a lot of comics I've only ever seen bits and pieces of. Comics I'd like to actually read one day. The main ones are:

-Anibal 5
-A****a no Joe (I've seen a few episodes of the show. Most. Depressing. Show. EVER!)
-Le Capitaine Fantome
-Hakaba no Kitaro (Especially the original seires. -There's sort of two.-)
-Sturmtruppen
-Koning Hollewijn (Especially the earlier ones, which feature a heavier inked style.)
-Kraaienhove
-Kriminal
-Nelvana of the Northern Lights
-Perry (A trippy adaption of the Perry Rhodan novels.)
-Tank Tankuro (Pre WW2 Japanese stuff is freaky-tough to find.)
-Valentina Melaverde
-Valerian

Anyone seen any of these? And does anyone else have a similar list?

For me ..., Probably the Dick Sprang Run of Batman..., I haven't ever really gotten to it..., & Know I have most of it in an Archieve I picked up about a yr ago ....

I have huge piles of manga around the house that I've acquired over the years from my trips to Asia that I wish I could read. Despite the wealth of things that have been translated and reprinted in English or even "scanslated" online, like the Lone Wolf and Cubs that weren't reprinted by First, Mad Bull, Ricky-Oh or Offered that I can now read, there is still many many volumes I have that are filled with Wild Visceral Imagery that I wish I could make sense of, particularly the non-Samurai Scifi, Fantasy and Thriller material of Lone Wolf and Cub writer Kazuo Kioke that I own.

I'm dying to read this series in particular...

Filled to the brim with Terminator style Cyborgs, sex, violence, and Nazis. It seems to just suck in all kinds of eighties exploitation and genre films and mash it into one insane storyline. Everything from Ms 45/I spit on your Grave, The Bad Lieutenant, The Warriors, and The Godfather.

Best of all... they save Hitler's brain and put it into a Terminator!


I'm also a big fan of Gon and would love to read this Western series by Masashi Tanaka that I own.

I also wish my french were better for reading BD as well.

I've got the Travis Charest Metabarons Volume and Terry Dodson's steampunk graphic Novel Songes Coraline that I've muddled through.






I also picked up a few crazy looking Mexican comic books when I was there a couple of years back.

Some of it's pretty old. I love comics.... all kinds, from all countries and all times; so my want list is pretty eclectic. There's actually a bunch more; and a bunch that I'd only seen a pic or two of and don't even know the name.

I had an aunt and uncle that travelled the world, and would bring me back comics from places you wouldn't think had comics.

i've never read animal man and i really want too, never read the watchmen (doesnt interest me) but everyone says i should read it.

If it ain't American super-heroics, I ain't interested.
Not that I don't have love for stuff like EC horror comics, humor comics like Archie/Disney/Casper and the like, but that's really not where my reading interests lie these days.

There is no escaping Batman, even when you travel all the way to the other side of the planet, he's still there. I dig the hell out of Chip Kidd's BATMANGA book with all that wacky vintage Batman Manga.


Lone Wolf and Cub writer Kakuo Kioke apparently did Hulk Manga back in the seventies!
