Wally's new Flash costume

I'm hoping Jessie goes back to Liberty Belle and that this is just a temporary ID for this storyline. It would be cool though to see her maintain both identities as the situation warrants, maybe Liberty Belle for JSA cases and "emergency" Jessie Quick powers for Flash team-ups.

I would have preferred a more drastic costume change for Wally simply to make everybody different...but I can live with it. If DC intends to utilize half a dozen Flashes I think they'll need to differentiate them by the type of stories they appear in. They kinda do this with the GLs- Hal gets the more supervillain style stories, John gets the JLA teamup stuff and the human interest stories, and Guy & Kyle do the outer space stuff.
I could see Barry in the JLA & superhero stories, Wally & his daughter Impulse teamed up in human interest family stuff, Jay & Jessie are of course off with the JSA, same with Kid Flash & Teen Titans. Max Mercury will retire I expect or become a background character in Flash or JSA ...would be neat to see him become a sort of mentor to the newly revived Barry as he was to Impulse, offering advice. That is unless they kill him off during this storyline- it's not been unknown for DC to do so after returning a character, is it?

I think they addressed that when Wally's eye-less costume first debuted before post Flash V2 #50. In one of the team-ups with Barry (either traveling through time or maybe it was Zoom in disguise), he made a comment to Wally about people trusting their heroes more when they can see their eyes. I think it also had something or other to do with Wally being his own man etc.

I believe he went back to showing his eyes around the time that Morrison and Millar introduced the idea of a costume comprised of "Speed Force".... which is what these new uniforms everyone is sporting come from as well.

Thatr was the return of barry allen issues 74-79 and it was the original Rev Flash Prof Zoom (as opposed to ZOOM whose speed comes from bending time) but he thought he was Barry at the time

Ah yes! That was a great arc. Waid was really finding his voice as a writer with Wally.

The Return of Barry Allen storyline was fantastic. The first time I really felt Wally was the Flash. Baron and Messner Loebs NEVER convinced me. Plus Baron did a 180 on Wally's character as established by Marv Wolfman and Cary Bates, turning him from a very rigid, morally conservative person into DC's answer to a man-*****. Messner-Loebs tried to fix that, but he took the S-L-O-W route.
