Didn't see a thread on this on the first page, so I thought I'd start one. The 10 episode first (of many, hopefully) season dropped on Amazon yesterday. I planned on watching one or two. I watched five. It lives up to the hype. This feels like a version of BTAS that has grown up with its audience. Of course it is NOT in the same continuity, don't get me wrong. But it gave me those early, ganster-centric BTAS feels. I'm a sucker for the earliest iteration of Batman, so I was more than excited to see them stay in this world, but they've created their own niche. There are a few reintepretations that may have some diehards cluthcing their pearls (no pun intended), but the essence of the mythos is there. I highly recommend it to Batman fans, DCAU fans, Golden Age comics, and crime noir fans!
Before I saw the first episode, I wrote an article over at 13th Dimension on things I liked to see. I was presently surpised I was thinking in the right direction, if not exactly getting some things right.
