Gunn's Superman movie symbol and new title

The actress playing Hawkgirl leaked that her name tent from the table read last week had a Kingdom Come-like symbol on it. And now Gunn has confirmed that the style is being used, with traditional colors. I myself like it. The name has been simplified too. "Legacy" was probably too loaded, like you needed to know a ton of Superman lore to get into it.

Looks better than I expected, but had hoped for a bog standard, unapologetically classic "S" shield. Red trunks and yellow shield on the cape, too!

Why do they always feel the need to get cutesy with it? It's a timeless design, lean into it!

(Would have saved this one for the rumored Kingdom Come project. If it is presented as having always looked like this in the Gunniverse, it would dilute the impact of that storyline's insignia change.)

I like the symbol but, based on this pic specifically, the yellow outside the shield bugs me (nitpicky I know). Its like they just needed to clip off the excess yellow material and they'd be done but, then decided to just leave it as is. A thin yellow border totally works I think, just not like this.

Noticed this as well and it immediately reminded me of the Sears Wish Book Superman Play Suit. Yellow border around the shield, printed "s" belt buckle and... a red domino mask. Still wanted one! The Batman version was a little more on model, save for the word "Batman" printed across the bat symbol!

Looking back, this was where I decided to master the manly art of sewing my own costumes. (Admittedly, with copious help from Mom!). Got ribbed a little, but nobody was laughing come Halloween!
