Classic artist George Tuska has passed away at age 93. He did a ton of comics work from the Golden Age on, most recently I think he did some variants for the Dynamite book Death Defying Devil (Golden-Age Daredevil to those of us not legally challenged).
He did just about every series I could think of, but some of the ones you may remember best were The Champions, Man-Wolf, Planet of the Apes, some Iron Man for Marvel...he did the newspaper strip World's Greatest Heroes-Superman for DC in the '70s...so much more, this guy was a legendary worker.
I met him a few years back at a comiccon in Scranton Pa. A really nice guy, did this beautiful Green Lantern sketch for me.
