^ It's a marketing gimmick to tie-in to certain aspects of Blackest Night. And as for Starman, I don't think it was lack of sales that ended the book....it was James Robinson's desire to stop writing.

Starman definitely ended only because Robinson had a finite ending in mind. Because of this, it's the best super hero comic series ever. There. I said it.

That STILL seems weird to me. Why bother tying into books that you'd already deemed unpopular?

^ Well take Atom and Hawkman #46 for example....they've already touched on the relationship between Ray Palmer and Carter Hall in Blackest Night and this will take things further as Black Lanterns Hawkman and Hawkgirl go after the Atom.

The whole thing is "The Dead Shall Rise" and that's the gimmick with these temporarily revived titles. I suppose they could have done one-shots without the cute re-numbering but where's the fun in that?

We Talking about Cosmic Rod Starman ?

Hopefully the Atom/Hawkman Book will shed a bit more light on the Whole Encounter We didn't really get to see,.. Where Carter Told Ray to come on over in the Phone conversation.

^ The Mikaal Tomas Starman is featured in Robinson's Starman run....in fact, he only appeared once before and Robinson fleshed out the character and concept and made him fit within the "Starman universe"....

Starman featured, at one point or another, every character with the name Starman, and tied them all together. Even a one-off Batman story from the 50s featuring a Starman (which was then Batman in a new identity) got the Robinson treatment.

I can't recommend this series enough. I mean if me and Anthony both love it, you know it's good!

They should put that quote on the back of the Omnibus editions!

Wouldn't it have been cool if Dad and David became Black Lanterns and went after Jack? Maybe a little Mist action too?

So many people died over the course of Starman, they could do a mini-series with a new Black Lantern in each issue!

I hate the thought of Ted coming back like that though. He had one of the best, most noble deaths in all of comics.
