I'm kidding,Seriously What the heck are you guys expecting with this release?

I mean we are not talking saving private Ryan or Forrest gump here.I'm sure it's not going to be winning any awards but I am pretty certain it will deliver.

What the heck ever happened to never judge a book by it's cover?...LOL
I know my fault for showing you the cover...LOL

lol! bro that happens so much on these boards it's not even funny
before a poster or a trailer comes out....you'll hear a bunch of people dissing it out and assuming it will suck big time..I myself usually like to watch a film before I pass judgment on it

Umm... I actually like the poster. I actually Don't like the title either. It really does look sci-fi. I do think this film will draw some people just because of Megan fox.

Beleive me I know where you were headed....

But come on man lets be realistic here,Name me one western that has come out since leone and Eastwood paired up that even comes close to being as good as the trilogy they did?

Lets not shoot for the moon here on Hex.

Josey Wales and Unforgiven are great Westerns. High Plains Drifter and Pale Rider aren't bad.

For non-Eastwood, the best screen western has been Open Range. I like Tombstone as well.

again you are naming Eastwood, surely he is not the only western talent out there?...LOL
I agree unforgiven is great and Josey is ofcourse the unofficial "Jonah" movie so the doesn't count. LOL
Tombstone was great and a favorite of mine but way to hollywood.
                  open range was okay.
I'll even give you the most recent 3:10 to yuma.
But all of them fail in comparison to the man with no name stuff!!!

If you are a follower of Hex or even a half hearted fan then you know to expect something strange and unusual in this film so will it be a full on western I think not.
It will be a blend of x-files meets the unforgiven hows that?

Actually, the logo reminds me of something Dell/Gold Key might have come up with back in the sixties if they had done Jonah Hex.

How much more western can you get?
Yeah, obviously the complaint was over the title treatment - Paper handbills usually evoke a more western vibe, where this treatment is all machined steel... it's thematically confused. If this were Firefly it would be different. I'm sure the marketing idea was to perhaps pull in some transformers fans by both the presence of Fox and by implanting an idea in the consumer's head via title treatment similarity.

Personally I think they did a hinky photoshop to shorten Josh's arm, so that throws the composition off for me. None of this commentary is reflection of the potential flick, just marketing wonk.

I think the designs they did for V for Vendetta were really attractive, so there can be life in sales art.

3:10 to Yuma was good. It would have been great, had the ending been shot (or edited) differently. I'm not saying the result should have been different. But Bale's character went through that whole movie being realistically cautious, only to completely flub it at the end. Oh well.

again you are naming Eastwood, surely he is not the only western talent out there?...LOL
Really, since John Wayne died, no one BUT Eastwood can guarantee a successful western, and that's a shame. But then again, his Spaghetti westerns pretty much destroyed the clean cut, fancy-dressed gunslingers who came before him. Everyone else (save Wayne) seemed like a colossal wuss next to Clint.

Hex looks good. I hope they get it right. We need more good westerns.

                            Really?
Even Robert Duvall,Gene Hackman,Kurt Rusell and dare I say Even Mickey Rourke(The last outlaw)
Heck I love the trinity films with Terrence Hill.
I could go out on a limb and say Even Kevin Costner(Silverado,Earp, dances with wolves)

But yes I can Agree Eastwood is a sure fire Box office western draw. However all the guys I listed can wrangle in the crowds as well and are tough as nails character actors in the western genre.
For me Wayne was far to hit and miss.He did what like 200 films?
I would say roughly only 15-20 of them are really any good. The shootist being the best of the bunch.
None of Wayne's flicks even compare to Eastwood's though.

I am glad that there really are a lot of western fans still around though. We are a dying breed my friends,a dying breed.

I love westerns. I love Jonah Hex.
                              However, I've been having a re-occurring nightmare.
It begins with a saloon and a winding set of stairs.
At the top of the stairs I enter a room.
I can hear someone taking a bath.
It's Megan Fox with a lot of bubbles.
As I lean down to kiss her, I slip and fall in.
When I open my eyes, I'm kissing
