^ I was expecting a LOT more of coolness along the lines of what Geoff Johns has been doing in the last few years in the actual GL book and I just don't feel I got that. Not worth the $20 for the double-disc IMO.
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!
I rented it, it was ok. Glad I didn't spend the money on buying it, since I don't think I'd watch it again. Do all modern movies and cartoons have to have music so loud that you can't hear the dialog without turning the volume up and down?

when you watch it on Bluray, in DTS surround sound...it's not a problem.
Don't have a blu ray yet. Same problem on Gotham Knights, The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, etc... Seems to be limited to Warner Bros. newer releases. Hellboy 2 no problem.

No blu ray yet either, and I didn't notice it so much on any of the animated flicks, but Dark Knight definitely had the dialog tracks mixed in too low.
As for GL, I liked it quite a bit. I'd say DC opted for a more generic GL story, since down the line they can do Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night. I doubt they want to go anywhere near Rebirth, due to all the convoluted crap they'd have to explain to get there.
I rank the DCU animated movies as follows:
1. New Frontier
2. Green Lantern: First Flight
3. Wonder Woman
4. Superman: Doomsday
5: Batman: Gotham Knight

Besides owning a Bluray(PS3)...I have a KICK ARSE Surround sound System. Harmon Kardon Receiver, Paradigm Speaker, powered Subwoofer. And the COOL thing is...the center Speaker handles all the voice tracks. You can even hear somebody whisper really well.
I'm a Video Gamer as well...so the Surround sound, helps me hear the Enemy trying to sneek up on me.
That was good! Real good! I was happy that the movie didn't try to stick to a "famous" story line. Just a simple origin with lots of action. And I loved that the Corp was featured. Very well done. The only thing I would change is the Sailor Moon-ish transformation at the beginning. I LMAO when I saw that.

I gotta watch the rest...but I think DC'd be hard pressed to beat
the WONDER WOMAN movie....
