Cause from these posts everyonbe is making, you'd think i totally SLAMMED
      this new GL movie.

Heck it was more watchable for me than the "great Nolan"'s work even

I swear you guys seem so black and white when it comes to liking or
not liking a movie...in thecontext of MY posts anyway.

        Right?....

And who knows Toyroom---maybe after you actually WATCH the movie
you might even *gasp* understand where I was coming from if not agree
        with me.
Dude....once again, I'm busting your balls Lighten up! You take things too literally and are always a keyboard away from a lengthy drawn out debate.

It's called sarcasm I guess (hence the little that I used)...maybe you're not familiar with the term (Uh! Look! There it is again! )

My point was just this: It's a GREEN LANTERN movie with hundreds of aliens and little blue guys and power rings and whatnot. It's not a walk in the park or tea & scones (and therin lies more sacrcasm....can't you just imagine Hal and Sinestro stopping off at a little bistro around the corner from Ferris Aircraft and airing their grievances with each other and the Guardians over a bit to eat? ) Kinda like a "Duh? What'd you expect?" comment. Nudge nudge wink wink....

And it doesn't matter if I've seen it yet...I know the basic plot and it isn't a picnic or a Sunday stroll or dinner at Grandma's...It's ACTION, pure and simple!

Or if someone points out that Superman III was the biggest steaming pile of you know what. It was intended as a Superman movie, not a comedy or a farce.

                      The "biggest"?

Sure you're not thinking of Superman FOUR???

Just watched my copy and liked it alot. DC is on a great run since the Final Frontier release. Allot of their product is being aimed at the older age groups now which is so refreshing. I don't have to edit idiotic dialog as I watch these.

I just watched it - I liked it alot. Beter than WW - but certainly not a classic.

I haven't watched any extras because the disc won't let me click it. Is there anything worthwhile?

Put me in the minority but I wasn't as crazy about this one as everyone else seems to be....it was "OK" in my book but New Frontier was definitely better IMO. There were some cool points but for the most part I was like....."ennnnh". I have the opposite opinion of Hugh....I didn't think there was enough action. The first half of the movie dragged for me. I was waiting for the film to take off and really kick it but sadly I really don't feel it delivered on all cylinders.

I thought some of the vocalizations were spot on (Kilowog and the Guardians) but Hal Jordan left me flat and I didn't like Victor Garber's take on Sinestro. The attempt at more "adult" dialogue sounded silly to me, especially coming from non-earthling life forms. Yes I know the ring translates, but when Sinestrop uses words or phrases like "stones" or others I can't get past the filter, I just have to laugh.

Kanjar Ro? Again with this clown? As an old-school JLA villain he's fine....but c'mon....first Brave and the Bold thinks he's the next greatest thing since, er, Blue Beetle and now he's featured (albeit different in appearance) in GL:First Flight. Find someone else the next time you need an alien warlord (and DON'T make it Mongul )

What th' heck was up with Abin Sur? Looks no where near any model of what I know Abin Sur to look like. Yeah I'm nitpicking, but since the rest of the recognizable GL Corp were on model why wasn't ol' Abin?

I'm really not sure I see myself sitting down to watch this again...other than for the features....the Superman/Batman:Public Enemies BTW looks like it's gonna rock!

To reiterate, clarify and otherwise expound....

                              The "action" in GL:FF?
Maybe I wouldn't've felt it was "too much" if I didn't feel
it was so predictable and dragged out
in the multiple non-dialogue points it occured throughout.

And, ALSO again, I thought GL:FF was okay overall---
but WONDER WOMAN is the clear winner here.

And BTW if they cant make a winner with a SUPES/BATS team-up then
that's sad---everytime it happened in the Timm/Dini universe it was a
homerun---except maybe in that Ra's episode which was still real good.

I'm beginning to think Anthony's more cynical than T1K....watch out Mike, you're going to lose the title of "Captain Bring down"!!
