Natalie Portman Cast As Leading Lady In Thor

I just saw the news on http://www.comicscontinuum.com and on Superhero Hype! - Comic Book Movies - Superhero Movies - Superheroes - Heroes - Comic Books - Graphic Novels - Super Hero - Adaptations - Adaptation. Star Wars alum Natalie Portman has been cast to portray Thor's love interest. Jane Foster I think that's her name. I don't follow the Thor comics, but for those who do, I know that they have cast, Thor and Loki, and now the love interest.

Hmmm..... I'm a little unsure of this casting, but a love interest is a love interest. I really do prefer when they use much lesser name stars. Who cares actually I just want to see thor and all his god glory kicking *** on the big screen.

I believe they are going back to the start--Journey into Mystery era. Jane was Doc Blakes nurse as I recall (just realized I havent read any of these stories in over 30 years...arrgh!). Who knows though, Thor could still be boppin Valkyrie, or some other Asgardian hottie?

Hmm... when I saw the headline I thought she would be the Lady Sif (THOR's original Asgardian love interest in the classic 616 universe)., though the presence of Jane Foster shows just how deep into the early mythology they are going ... a really good sign IMHO of course.



And personally, I hope they stay far, far away (a galaxy's worth.. ) from the Ultimate version..
